Watching my bi friends’ identities get erased when they‘re in m/f relationships makes me think it’s even MORE important to write bi characters in m/f relationships and then be REALLY BLATANT about the fact that one or both of them is bi.

Eu gosto dela, a gente se dá super bem, mas não faz o meu tipo. É muito magra. Has anyone noticed that there really aren’t any plus sized female actresses that are young? Like under 30. There aren’t any plus sized college girls in movies. The chunky best friend is always a dude. High school shows have none. Rare in horror movies. (Of course there are rare exceptions to these.)

And on the rare chance that there are plus size actresses, they aren’t sexy. They are the frumpy best friend, the uncool sister, the wingman to the pretty girl, the comedic relief. They never have an emotional impact except being in anguish over their size.

Let’s give them real parts. Let’s make them smart, pretty, kind, angry, happy. Let’s give them self confidence and a romance, sometimes with non-plus sized partners. In real life, plus sized people date and f*ck. I want them the main character of a story that has nothing to do with weight. Give them a profession that is serious.

No more cupcake baking, sad, lonely, best friend to the pretty skinny chick who helps her get the guy. She’s not just a side character to the story. We wanna hear her story.
