“ I may never get wealthy but I’ll always be rich. ” Spoken as she’s holding up a carrot bouquet. Is she making a pun on the 24-karat thing by replacing ‘karat’ with carrot? Yes. There’s even the subtle fact she put 24-carrots in this bouquet. Was she also doing this because one of the customers had been trying to pull a scam on this poor person? Claiming their ‘obviously fake’ gem was 24-karats and that they deserved to be able to exchange it for one of the higher end products.

So Honey, having been browsing, couldn’t help but join in. Siddling over and saying she also had ‘24-karats’ before producing her bouquet. Which prompted the scammer to make a claim that ‘a poor rabbit’ could never be rich or afford things. But the person soon left when Honey kept sticking carrots into their pockets. Obviously annoyed that their scam hadn’t worked and now, somehow, going home with just a bunch of carrots falling out of their clothing. Once they were gone Honey walks away from the counter, picks up a carrot that had fallen, and twirls it in her fingers before she sets down a pair of earrings she had found and enjoyed looking at.

“I’m rolling with the punches again.”

{ ♪ } -- The redhead stared at the man, obviously trying her best to keep a calm face while listening to him prattle on. Too many people tried to sell her fake gems, which was expected because her shop was small and family-owned. Even still, she couldn’t help the little laugh that slipped past her lips when Honey stepped in.

Grinning at her, Bella crossed her arms over her chest. The comment about her being a ‘poor rabbit’ earned a wrinkle of her nose and the woman placed her hands on her counter.

“I would greatly appreciate it if you wouldn’t harass my customer, thank you. If you’ve no intention of taking the offer I gave, you are free to leave.”

It took quite a bit of effort to not end up laughing again as their clothes were filled with carrots. It wasn’t until she heard the bell above her door chime that she let herself relax, covering her mouth as she stifled her laughter.

“That isn’t very professional of me, but thank you! They’ve shown up a few times, always trying to get me to pay for a fake stone. I don’t think that they realize that I’m not nearly that gullible. I really appreciate that, Miss, and I’m sorry about that insult...”
