❤ — RICKY
“Mainly that it wished it had some accompaniment,” he muttered. His gaze drew back to the deep blue below them, watching as it rolled against the hull of a ship. Call it “intuition” or a product of being a musical prodigy, but Ricky could hear a solid beat from just about anything around him. The sea was no different. Lapping against the one obstruction upon it created one of a soothing sort.
Something light and flighty, like a piano, would mesh well with the beat. Or a string accompaniment could work just as well, though, when he thinks on it some more.
As he listened, one could notice that his tail began to sway unconsciously to the beat. The spade-like appendage rapped against the railing he rested upon to help create the melody playing in the Archen’s head.
It almost seems like he’d forgotten Sanji was there…
“Accompaniment? Like music?” The question would go unanswered, but Sanji didn’t mind. He had learned after meeting Brook that it was best to let a person think if they were musically inclined. He couldn’t know for certain if Rickey was, but the sway of his tail and the far off look in his eyes made the cook wonder.
But rather than ask, he would wait. Every now and again he would glimpse to the raptor, until his curiosity grew to be unbearable. The feathers ( or what he assumed were feathers ) around his neck were given a tiny scratch, just enough to get his attention. “Do you like music? I never really figured you to be the type. If you are, I’m surprised you haven’t talked to Brook sooner. The guy’s good.”
He removed his hand and tilted his head. “Know any good songs?”
