time to ramble about shit since i’m thinking about it again

ok so like i know a lot of people seem to think that the isaac flashback is going to focus on what happened to dimitri but personally? i’m kinda hoping it doesn’t?

first reason is i’m kinda hoping to see this theory get confirmed

so like i am hoping the flashback takes place either sometime around the possible spender & catnine fight, or after when spender finds out isaac is a spectral & medium to catnine. did spender see isaac get possessed or did he find out about isaac being a spectral later and then learn about how catnine possessed him. i kinda want to see how spender found out about isaac being a spectral and how he got him to join the activity club too, since out of the remaining activity club members, he’s kinda the odd one out since unlike ed and isabel, spender hasn’t known him for a long time and he wasn’t a spectral for basically his entire life. also just think it would prove for more focus on spender and isaac themselves and how they interact with eachother.

and then there’s also the fact that. i kinda don’t want to learn about what happened to dimitri just yet. i just feel like it’s too soon to really get into that? it was only two chapters ago that we learned that something even happened at all and that dimitri’s more plot relevant than we first thought, after 4 chapters of barely seeing him. solving that little mystery so soon after learning it even exists and when we’ve seen and learned so little about dimitri himself just doesn’t feel right to me? i feel like seeing more of dimitri and learning more about how he is now, seeing how he reacts to spectral stuff, and maybe getting little crumbs on how the event effected him and his relationship with the other club members would make learning about it feel more satisfying. also dimitri getting his own little flashback chapter separate from the activity club about why he left it would be fitting for fuckin. ✨symbolic✨ reasons i guess kjlsad no i am not hoping for this because i want a dimitri centered chapter no what are you talking about

god fucking damn it you can’t trust ANY of the one-off jokes in paranatural, next thing you know alex is gonna be right about the aliens and lisa’s revealed to be part fey or some shit and that’s why she’s so careful about trades. is stephen right about all his conspiracy theories? is the VP the witch? is garcia a fucking werewolf like that one crack post suggested? i dont know because nothing makes any goddamn SENSE ANYMORE

I think I’ve said this, but I’ll say it again: I think the Sphinx of Games created the Mayview barrier. We’ve seen him create barriers before, and there seem to be ‘loopholes’ surrounding the barrier’s creation, which sounds like something the Sphinx of Games might put into play. My guess is that Dr. Zarei challenged him and won, and her reward was to create the barrier.

Ok I just noticed something while re-reading Paranatural. In this shot of Spender and co. 12-ish years ago, there’s a hand doing the rabbit ears thing behind Rick’s head.

(He’s also holding a shovel for some reason??? Child what are you doing)

When I first saw the page I thought it was one of the Burgers doing it but no, it’s the wrong hand for either of them. The mystery person also has black painted nails and a studded bracelet.

My mind initially thought it was Max’s mom, going along with the theory that she had mentored Rick and Mina. The nails and bracelet certainly seem to match her style of piercings and tattoos.

But I don’t think it’s her. The person in the photo maybe has brown hair (as shown by the blue circle) and Mrs. Puckett was possibly already out of Mayview when this photo was taken.

Perhaps this is the mysterious Agent Summers that Gwen mentioned earlier in chapter 7, or maybe it’s the woman Garcia mentioned before going out with his crossbow.

Maybe they’re one in the same. Or maybe not! I don’t know if anyone talked about this when the page first went up, maybe I’m way out of the loop on this one.

Confused by something: what’s the difference between a Grudge and a Wight?

The way I understand from Boss Leader’s explanation, a Wight is the Ultimate Form of a Grudge. While becoming a Grudge is a temporary power-up sourced from negative emotions, becoming a Wight is a drastically more powerful transformation that completely changes the spirit... permanently.

I was rereading Paranatural when the moment Max gets his hands on a tool struck me.

I mean, what are the odds there’s a tool just waiting to be used in the gym closet right? Kind of coincidence I originally excused as just ‘convenient’. But look at where Davey is. He’s in the same gym closest by the look of things. Given the kind of control he exerts over the school…

I think he stashed the bat there. There might be more - or he might’ve come looking for it, and is now wondering where it’s gone.

(actually why do they have a golf club? Is there a Golf Club in the school? Alongside a… field hockey team? Why are they all in the one bag, whose sorting this? Davey, please.)

I was re-reading Paranatural recently and some of the very first pages have this little imprint of an act of blast so that must mean that Max had his poltergeist before he got in the Mayview!! Omg

So we know what a wight is now, assuming you’ve read the last few updates

And this isn’t super coherent, I don’t have any evidence for it

But I think that the Freaky Shadow Spirit and the BERG, when combined, make a wight

Tis only a theory, one I again, have no evidence for

But I like the idea
