A sigil to embody the Litany Against Fear from Dune. I kept it a bit more simple and rough than most of my sigils, so it would be easier to recreate and also to embody the brutal beauty of the Bene Gesserit and Fremen cultures and of Dune itself.

Vin and Kelsier - Masters of the Mist

Here is my FINALLy finished drawing of Vin and Kelsier. And while I don’t really think they are perfect how I see them here, I can’t but be very happy with how this turned out. It was so hard from start to finish, and even considering all the flaws, I am very happy and proud of this one! It could have turned out A LOT worse, thats for sure! It was however very fun to explore some softer pencils for once. It seems Ive grown fearful of using them vs the hard pencils which I have worked so much with lately. And its a real shame, because soft pencils does provide such a wide and fun range of techniques I had almost forgotten all about. Shame on me! Don’t be afraid to use all the pencils in your box, everyone, they all have their own unique effect that needs to be explored! So the mist-effect was made with soft pencils (B to 5B) and finger-smudging, while erasing with my kneaded eraser (which really should be retired soon!!!) and I am so happy the effect worked so well. It gave such a dimention and depth to my drawing which I had lost all hope for. Now, finishing this I hope I can get back to my much demanding silm fandom, and all the fanart screaming in my head, most recently of Idril and Tuor. Hopefully this drawing can give me some confidence and beat the stupid fear that helps no-one! I hope you enjoy this, and let me know what you think!
