Hi guys. I'm still here. Just been hiding on my other account. Heh. Well, yeah, ... Remy is bored.
Go fish, mon ami.
"Playing House."
Anna cursed quietly before handing over the jack she’d just picked up from the pile. “Dirty cheat,” she grumbled before picking up another card from the pile. “So what otha’ game y’gonna teach me, Swamp Rat? An’ y’got any Queens?”
He chuckled, taking the jack from her and placed the pair aside. "Now dat was jus' a lucky guess." He glanced through his hand of cards, tossing over the queen he had. "Now if Remy was cheatin', dat card'd still be in m'hand." He looked through his hand of cards again. "How 'bout any nines?"
"Playing House."
She giggled to herself as he dealt the cards. “Miss Rogue’s busy a lot. An’ Ah know Go Fish, actually. Ah used t’play wit’ Mama a little. Ah thought y’were talkin’ poker or somethin’ like that.” Anna glanced down at her cards and placed down a pair of twos that was in her hand. She took two cards out of the pile and frowned slightly. “Y’got any fours, Cajun?”
He chuckled lightly. "Well den, Remy'll have ta teach you some mo' games." He checked his hand. "Non. Go fish, chere." He waited for her to pick before asking. "You got a jack?"
your friendly magic anon here. you're seventeen for another week!
Well Remy ain't complainin' 'bout dat.

Won’t be on all day. Spending the day in NYC and seeing Mart Poppins on Broadway :3
"Playing House."
She rolled her eyes to herself. “Ah know that, Cajun. Ah hafta let it cool an’ everythin’. ‘Sides, it’s good always. Hot or cold, s’always delicious.” She smiled and glanced down, noticing he slipped a hand into his pocket. “Ah… Ah dunno how t’play… Ah haven’t learned.”
Pulling the cards out, he looked genuinely surprised. "Now please don' tell me you've never learned 'go fish.'" He shook his head. "Now dat's somet'in' I wasn' expectin' ta hear." He took a seat, motioning for her to come over. "You livin' wit' Miss Rogue, Remy'd think she'd teach ya fo' later years since she knows Remy." He started the deal. "C'mon, Remy'll show you a game o' two."
"Playing House."
“We’ve got time,” Anna said, shrugging her shoulders lightly. She slipped off her stool and began preparing her cornbread, first combining all the wet ingredients before mixing in the dry ones. She poured the mixture into a pan and placed it in the oven, setting the timer for 25 minutes. “Whaddya wanna do?” she asked, turning back towards Remy. They couldn’t just sit there watching each other. That’s just creepy.
He folded his arms across his chest, giving a light shrug. "Well we could always play a game'v cards." He suggested. "Dat bread's gon' be done way before de gumbo by de way." He mentioned on a side note. He stepped towards the kitchen table, hand in his pocket for the unused set of cards he had.
"Playing House."
She rolled her eyes and seated herself at the counter, resting her chin in her hand. “Ah’m plenty comfortable, shugah. Don’ y’worry ‘bout me.” She batted her eyelashes at him and chuckled quietly to herself. This was nice, she’d discovered. This freedom, the mild flirtation… she’d miss it when she went back to normal.
He smirked a bit, letting out another chuckle. He turned back to the pot, and poured in the chicken broth and base, stirring it in well. He added the water, and all the seasonings and spices to the mixture, then went over to cut up the Cajun-style sausage. He added that along with the okra, and covered the pot. He looked back towards her. "An now we wait. It gon' be a li'l while befo' it done."
"Playing House."
Anna snorted and crossed her arms, glancing slightly at him. “Ah don’ need t’impress nobody, Swamp Rat.” She raised a brow and chuckled again. She hopped off the counter and peeled off her gloves, not wanting them to get dirty. Pulling open the fridge, she gathered the butter, eggs and milk before setting them on the counter and looking for the dry ingredients. Once she’d found the sugar, flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder, she turned back to Remy. “Well? Impress me. Mine won’ take that long t’prep.”
He chuckled, going through the cabinets to find the pot that he was looking for. Setting it on the stove, he turned it on, pulling out the first few ingredients to be put on the heated stove. "Dis ain't a five-minute recipe, chere. Might as well make yo'self comfortable." He told her, stirring in the onions, pepper, celery, and salt, waiting for them to saute for a few minutes.
"Playing House."
Anna glanced over at the doorway which held the grinning Cajun. She rolled her eyes and snorted lightly. “Now, how did Ah know ya were gonna pick the lock? Silly me.” She pushed herself off the couch and led him into the kitchen, chuckling under her breath. Anna hopped onto the counter and let her legs dangle freely as she pulled the cookbook back into her lap. “So, ya gonna impress me, LeBeau? World’s Best Gumbo, Ah hear.” She raised an eyebrow at him.
He followed her into the kitchen, placing the bag down on the counter. "If y'want Remy to impress you, den Remy will." He leaned against the counter. "An' yo' gon' make yo' cornbread?" He asked. "Mebe you be wantin' t'impress Remy yo'self."
"Playing House."
Anna chewed on her lip, flicking thoughtfully through one of Miss Rogue’s cookbooks. Remy was coming over and they were going to make dinner. He said he’d be able to cook Gambit’s gumbo recipe, and Anna figured she could make cornbread, or something to go along with the gumbo. She giggled quietly to herself at the thought of Gumbo cooking gumbo. Glancing at the clock, she stood and placed the cookbook in her hands on the counter. 5:45. He’d probably be here soon.
Anna wandered out of the kitchen and inspected her reflection in the mirror that hung in the hall. She adjusted a white strand of hair before narrowing her eyes at herself. ‘Pff, what’re y’doin’? He’s ya friend, he ain’t nothin’ t’get worked up about,’ she thought to herself. She settled herself onto the couch and propped her feet on the coffee table, crossing her arms under her chest. Might as well be comfy while the thief probably picked the lock.
Remy sifted through all of Remy's recipes, checking for the special gumbo one. He wanted to read over it before going over to Anna's. Alas, he did not find it. Remy probably had gotten rid of it, or maybe never even had it. He went around the kitchen, grabbing some of the essentials that probably wouldn't be over at Anna's, shoved them all in a bag, and headed out the door.
The apartment wasn't too far from where Remy was living. He walked his way over, making it there just about the time they talked about. He arrived at the door, debated on knocking, but settled for letting himself in. As he picked the lock and opened the door, he wasn't sure if he was expecting her to be sitting right on the couch, clear view of the door. He didn't let that faze him though, a grin twisting on his face. "Bonjour, chere. Imagine seein' you here." He said with a light chuckle.
-chuckles- Well ain’t dat a giveaway.
So where to, chere? Yo’ pick.
Well, Ah don’ have any money… Ah suppose y’could come back t’mine an’ Miss Rogue’s place, an’ we could make somethin’.

-smiles- Miss Rogue left out her cookbooks for me, Ah can make some cornbread.
