It’s that time to vote so here’s me reaching out to you with resources on voting since this was my first year voting!!! :) I also haven’t seen other posts like this so hopefully this can help someone
Already registered? Nice!
Find your polling place at vote.org
Find your sample ballot at ballotpedia.org, they also provide explanations on proposal questions!
Registered for mail ballot but didn’t turn it in yet? In most states you’ll need to drop off your mail ballot off at a polling place to make sure that it arrives in time to be counted! Be sure to check with your state to see if this is what you need to do! (source: org tweet)
Not registered? That’s okay! There are 15 states that allow for same day voter registration: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, Utah, Vermont, Washington DC, Wisconsin, and Wyoming
No ride to your polling place? Also okay!
Lyft and Uber are here to help! Lyft is offering 50% for a ride to vote and a free ride for undeserved communities, and like the Uber app you’ll be able to find your nearest polling location! (source: time, nowthisnews)
For LA County people, rides on Metro Buses and Trains are free today from 12:01am to 11:59pm making it an easier commute to get to your polling places! (source: lamag, latimes)
Can’t make it because of work?
Actually there’s a chance you live in a state that guarantees you time off to vote today! Look at this map and let your boss know that you’re doing your duty

And here's a step-by-step guide on what to do if you're told you can't vote from CNN
“So, what if you are told your registration didn't go through, or you don't have the required documents? Even if your registration is pending or your voter application has been wrongly purged, you are still allowed to vote.
Or, if you did forget your ID at home or have been removed from the registration system, you can cast a provisional ballot -- a right all voters are entitled to by federal law.” (source: CNN)
And here are the steps to take if you are turned away from the polls
That’s all that I’ve seen today! If I’ve gotten something wrong here or missed anything that is helpful to new/inexperienced voters please feel free to share!! Good luck to everyone voting today and please consider reblogging to spread this information to help those lost and in need!
