the little lies we tell

there is no victory without celebration. a most essential truth in an age of liars pants on fire-- this is fine. lying is the most fun you can have with your clothes on-- or some I'm told. does lying to yourself count or is it just others or both? what about the good lies like telling your 6 year old you love to brush your teeth or the six "I'm happy?!" declarations made internally during date night. are those fun or necissary? is any lie necissary? maybe all of them are-- the lies cover the little gaps; reality has a ton of pot holes and there's only lies to smooth them over. or is the complete intellectualization of my emotions a well-used coping mechanism? I love thinking about this. wait.
