Alot of people are like "the israelis are not okay" and I'm here to tell you they are not. Your psyche cannot be normal when you grow up to be trained to join an army that's responsibility is to control another population. There's no language that can whitewash that israeli soldiers go to the west bank when theyre 18 and have the power to control palestinian movement, arrest a palestinian, assault a palestinian and execute a a palestinian. Living miles next to the west bank and knowing your government is holding millions of lives captive is not normal. But they treat it like it's normal and justify it. They can't fathom why the same people who wait in 2 hour lines at checkpoints under the hot sun would hate israelis because they don't feel safe without the occupation. That's it. Many israelis can say they think the occupation is immoral and the settler violence is immoral but they would not let it go if it means they are insecure. So in their minds, their way of life currently holds more value than a palestinians right to not live under a military occupation. That all there is to it. The lib zios here preach equality and condemn palestinian violence for the same reason they believe that palestinians are only allowed to be free from occupation on their terms.
