I wanted to update this post to reflect some excellent news I received recently but the post was getting too long. (My autism is verbose-flavored, I’m sorry)
I decided to do a quick TLDR here with the longer explanation of what’s been going on under the cut!
So the TLDR is my insurance came through and has authorized partial payment of my surgery!
However, other unforeseen circumstances have arisen and I could still use all the help I can get!

Now for the long version.
I was hesitant to post this here again because of tumblr staff being transphobic about it last time, but I really need the help now more than ever.
I lost my job yesterday. It was completely unexpected and under really infuriating circumstances.
Essentially it became a game of blame the new (autistic and disabled) guy, even though I provided ample proof that I wasn’t the one who messed up.
I was really excited when I got this job. As I’m sure many of you know first hand, mental health issues, disability, and neurodivergence make it incredibly difficult to find work.
Everything seemed to be going really great, until it became easier for them to get rid of me than to accept the blame.
I’m job hunting again, but considering how long it took to get this one, I’m not very optimistic of finding work soon.
Which means I could still use and would GREATLY appreciate any help at all! Like I said, just reblogging this post is more than enough!
Hozier's management people: so, Andrew. What were you thinking for the new music video?
Andrew Hozier-Byrne: Maybe... doctors dancing? That way, everyone's masked up and safe as possible. And you can turn the hospital gowns into those choir gowns, that'd be striking.
Management: what about your role? It's your song, your fans want to see you perform it.
Andrew: oh, erm. Yeah. Well. Uh... what hasn't been done to me in a music video yet?
Management: well, we arrested you in From Eden, took off an arm and a leg in Eat Your Young, burned you in Dinner and Diatribes. Also, had you slick your hair back and shave your beard to make the terrifying anti-andrew.
Andrew: can't do that again, the psychic damage alone is... uh- what if I just died? Just kicked it on the operating table during an emergency surgery or something. Could you imagine the weight of that loss on the mind of a stranger? Some surgeon who just got their license, exposed to some new horror while I watch the psychedelic light show of my own dying brain.
Management: Sounds great! we'll see what it takes to get you rigged up for fake heart surgery.
Andrew: oh... I was just thinking outloud. But yeah, I guess it'd be quite cinematic, wouldn't it?
