     There comes a tiny cough of a laugh. “ Yeah. I think I can do that. ”

     It’s more than a bit of a trip out to Mele’mele and further still to the outskirts of Hau’oli onto the rarely-frequented stretch of beach where Kukui’s house sits.      Of course, she could have chosen just any of her regulars. It certainly would have made things easier for her. Even so, this was a bit of a special occasion and she just so happens to know that he’s home at the moment.

     Moreover … as much as she despises to admit it, she worries about him. The man keeps much more inside of him than he reveals, just like her. Plumes has a knack for sniffing out kindred spirits.

     “ Yo, Kooks, ” she greets him with that same lopsided smile when he opens his door. “ Don’t take this too serious, a’ight? ”

     With that precaution out of the way, she steps forward and wraps the man up completely in her warm, strong arms, gathering him close to herself to make him feel snug and enveloped. Straightening her back, she grins as the man’s feet briefly leave the ground.

     Plumeria rights him at last and snickers, leaning in to give him a light forehead bonk. “ I just kinda felt like you needed one. No big deal. ”

I was mostly having fun, me and Molayne were still learning, yeah.” it’s been a while, so he has to shake his memory up a bit. “We didn’t have much guidance back then, so we stumbled and fell quite a few times, I didn’t do horribly --- but I wanna give kids the guidance neither of us got on the island trials, woo!”
