The thing still gets me about the "levant/middle east was all Arab" idea is that... even setting aside Jews. You have to ignore every other people in the area to say this. You have to ignore the Copts and Beduoin and Kurds and Yezidi and Assyrian and Druze and Persians and even fucking Greeks to go with the idea that this entire area was just Arab.
