I similarly miss Johto. I remember so little of it now its frightening, but i think of it more and more lately. I do remember the pokeathlon and my trips to the safari zone. I grew up there, but my family has been bouncing around a lot from region to region and i miss it

Any fun tid bits about Ghost Type Pokemon? I have a partner Lampent and all I head are negatives. I also have a shiny Phantump I recently caught and a Pumpkaboo! I'd love to learn more about them.

Eugh. I don't love ghost types. I guess.. while life force isn't something that can be measured, most victims of ghost feedings have the same symptoms as people with severe anemia or in hypovolemic shock. This implies that even though we cannot find it ourselves, our life force supports our bodies much in the same way blood does.

It is very possible that this is where the myth of vampires came from. Before ghost types were well understood, people (rarely) coming home with the same appearance as those who lost massive amounts of blood in battle combined with the humanoid figures many ghost types utilize eventually turned into a story about blood-drinking humans that blend in with society.

Not all ghost types feed this way, of course, but lampent does. You have a little vampire in your home.

do you know any other languages? im learning kalosian so i can talk to my emolga :3

i do speak several other languages! thankfully they come pretty easy to me. paldean is my first language, but i also learned galarian growing up. i learned from a unovan teacher and i have a unovan penpal, which is why i use a lot of unovan spellings for words. i also speak pretty fluent kalosian because i'm kalosian on my father's side and i go to kalos pretty frequently.

i'm much better at reading kantonian and its various dialects than i am at speaking them, but i can carry a conversation, and i'm starting to pick up on more and more academic languages. the only problem is when i first started learning i practiced a lot with an ex-rocket friend so i've been told i talk like i'm about to hold someone at gunpoint until they give me their pet meowth or whatever. so i'm working on fixing that.

Hello! My friend's family is thinking of adopting a pokwmon from a local shelter and saw a Fidough. But the issue is, my friend has celiac and a wheat allergy so I was wondering if that would be safe??

Celiac does not generally respond to yeast as long as it is not derived from anything containing gluten. Don't feed your fidough gluten and your friend will be fine.

yeah even if you could - don’t come to Lumiose rn. came home from a party the other night and the entire block around my apartment complex got turned into a battle zone. i got jumped SO often and had to explain like 7 times that I Literally Didn’t Have Any Pokémon With Me At The Moment. and four trainers tried to insist i was LYING to get out of battling them????

so yeah. Lumiose is crazy man

I'm restricted from battling for the next ten years. Isn't that how all battling used to be, though? When I was younger you didn't get much of a choice in the matter.

Lumiose isnt worth it the way i walk to work has been converted into a 50 square foot enclosure with like 6 pyroar in it
