Do you ever think about forever? How the days would be together? What would it be like to have pets together? Or even kids? How you’d wake up every day to see the face of the love of your life. How you’d get to do everything together. Eat together, shower together, sleep together, watch tv together, be together. How you could take them out in public and show them off. Even just a kiss on the cheek in the grocery store. How you could have the worst day possible, but you’d get to come home to your love. And the intimacy would be so relieving. How you always have a friend. You’d never be alone. Then how you discuss pets and kids. How you take every step to have a family together. To form a home. How everyday you see your love care and play with your kids. It’s a side to them you’ve never seen. How you look at your children, and know they’re made of love. How their eyes got their color from their dad. And how, unfortunately they got your nose. How life throws such hard punches sometimes, but you have your other half. You get through it together. You fight with them until the end. How when the end comes, you realize growing old together seems like a lot of time, but it just wasn’t enough time. I really hope my forever is with you.
