Sun
As a big fan of the Sun, I want to celebrate the man who put the Sun in the center of his models of the universe. Ladies and gentlemen, read about the great man - Nicolaus Copernicus:

The previous post brought me to this link. A hybrid air Peugeot? Hope I live long enough to see cars on the road that run only on air.
This is a news clip about a car that uses salt water as fuel. It'll be a long time before we see a car on the road that runs on salt water, if at all. Still, the idea is very impressing.
The Discovery Channel series Curiosity had its season finale last night. It was two hours long and filled with commercials but it was all worth it. I don't even know where to start. I drooled over the submersibles they built and was fascinated by the animals and life that's 2200 feet below the sea level, not to mention the 10-foot long giant squid. It's better to watch this with your own eyes. Science is simply great!
It is friday!!
The Impossible NYC Street Portraiture Photo Walk
Polaroid by Johanna Moelk
This is the first video console I've ever had. Actually my dad splurged and got a fancier joystick which was too big for my 11 year-old hands. I remember playing variety of games and I can hear the sounds of the games very clearly in my head even now. My parents would invite their friends over and play Pac-Man until the wee-hours of the night accompanied with loud laughter that awakened me time-to-time. Like in many countries, the word Atari was used for all video games. The brand became the actual word for that action just like the usage of the word Google nowadays. So when I heard today that Atari went bankrupt and it might disappear forever, I felt like a piece of my childhood was disappearing with it.

These guys bought everything from Polaroid, reformulated the chemicals used because what Polaroid used was now illegal and brought instant photography back to life. They have a store in SoHo, NYC with many Polaroid photos in display along with various Polaroid cameras. One can even rent a basic Polaroid camera for $25/day. Pretty neat! Also, they play 33 vinyl records in the store. They are cool in many ways.
"I don't like that particular word 'shocking.' I'm looking for the unexpected. I'm looking for things I've never seen before … I was in a position to take those pictures. I felt an obligation to do them."

A prelude to fame, Just Kids recounts the friendship of two young artists--Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe - whose passion fueled their lifelong pursuit of art. http://books.google.com.tr/books/about/Just_Kids.html?id=PQNfwKOYEj0C&redir_esc=y

Warhol’s self portraits on polaroid(1980-82)
My idea of a good picture is one that's in focus and of a famous person.
