Ok. Where to draw the line? The original Picture was taken with my i phone,i added some „Filters“..,some contrast, but was unhappy with the background. So I asked Chat gpt. When did it stop to be a „real“ Picture? Or was it never real?
Tbh.. being old school- i think it stopped to be a real picture when I used the phone.
I mean- yes- with a lot of practice, know-how and time you could do something like that in a darkroom. But- what decides what a real Photo is? The amount of work you put into it? Or the idea? Or The skill?
Sometimes the mishaps are more interesting.
Playing with Polaroids (ok, Fuji FP 100c) again. I guess it is an art to create boring photos..
At a certain age walking down memory lane takes longer than walking into ones future. Hopefully the path into future divides into more possible ways…
Today I learned that the UN’s satellite-based methane monitoring program (Methan being one of the most powerful greenhouse gases and a major contributor to climate change. )is able to detect emissions from space—even relatively small leaks caused by faulty valves or damaged pipeline components. Identifying these emissions quickly allows operators to repair problems before they waste valuable natural gas or release unnecessary amounts of methane into the atmosphere. It is an inspiring example of how advanced technology and international cooperation can make a real difference for the better.
Hier ist es ätzend kalt, und viel zu hell für jemanden der so ungern in den Spiegel schaut.

This one took more than a year..
Doomed „conversation“…
Re-watched Monty Python‘s „Life of Brian“ lately.. it is still (have‘nt seen it in the last ten years, i guess) HILARIOUS.
I should watch „Salo“ again these days..
One of my favorite english adages is: “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” - which is often interpreted as a warning against ignorance and overconfidence, much like the Dunning–Kruger effect, which describes how people with little knowledge or skill often overestimate their own abilities. Yet there is another possible reading. Those who have been taught where the limits lie may never question them, while those who are unaware of the accepted boundaries sometimes dare to explore beyond them. In that sense, the saying comes close to the famous quote often attributed to Mark Twain: “They didn’t know it was impossible, so they did it.” Not every reckless act leads to discovery, but many genuine breakthroughs have come from people who challenged assumptions simply because they did not know they were supposed to be impossible.
Re-(reading-no-visiting!) Nobuyoshi Araki‘s „Tokyo Lucky Hole“ - (for those who don‘t know about it- a big collection of pictures from 1980‘s japanese red-light District..) and (i guess somehow not un-intended by Araki) .. it is a collection of sadness and tragedy. Naked bodies, faked smiles, dead eyes, a sense of hollowness to it all. Maybe, too familiar to me.
(And I got a lot of books of his works- it’s all a big pile of sadness, expresssed in beautiful pictures.)
(Need those sunglasses of him, though)
Being nobody is a super-power.
