If you want, you can call me Neko! Major ninja turtles fan! I adore 2012 turtles, but my interests lie with all the movies and series! I’ve basically seen them all! Have watched Mutant Mayhem and both seasons of Tales! Can’t wait for more!!
My favorite turtle depends on the brothers in question, but it’s usually between Raph and Donnie! My favorite sibling bond is usually Leo&Donnie, but, again, it depends! Ask whatever you like- I love chatting turtles!
For fun, here's a link to an ever-updated list of my favorite '12Leo&Donnie songs.
DISCLAIMER: I am TERRIBLE at responding to things, but I love asks! I swear! I promise that every single one is appreciated, and I definitely intend on getting around to it!
I do a lot here nowadays, so let me fill you in!

For a better understanding of the categories:
I’m most popular for my analyses. I tend to throw out a few rants/interpretations/descriptions on unnoticed or misunderstood aspects of turtle iterations, mainly for the 2012 gang. These guys are extremely misunderstood creatures (See what I see TMNT).
I also do Incorrect TMNT Quotes for the fandom (incorrect tmnt quotes), Tumblr Turtle story clips (ImagionationStation’s Ficlets), I make Mini Music Videos (IS TMNT MMV), post some 2012 show moments and randomly compile a full episode from a single turtle’s POV (Show Clips), and I intend to document thoughts about other shows when I have the time to watch (Turtle Comparison Notes).
I have a tag for asks (IS Asks) and a tag specifically for AUs that get dropped off in my Ask box (AU Asks). Got an AU idea that you’d like explored? As long as it’s in my comfort zone, let’s do so together!

Quick Sidenote!
I understand that the turtles have their flaws. I acknowledge that I have my flaws. I do not need you to yell these facts at me.
I reserve the right to block haters that hate for the sake of hating. If you are not willing to chat negatives without passive aggressive behavior or an open mind, I will block without hesitation.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful turtleful life! 💚💚

When you sneak out to watch the new sci-fi movie in theaters but your nerdy brother incidentally had the same idea:
Donnie and Leo would individually make intricate plans to sneak out to see “Project Hail Mary,” but somehow end up in the same theater. Incidentally, busting each other.
At first, Prime wasn’t trying to kill anyone. Not necessarily.
He defended himself from their attacks. He threw the brothers away. And he took their powers. All to keep them off the platform.
He didn’t seem to care about the battle at all. His first priority was to clear the way for his Brother and Sister to follow him through the portal. That’s all he cared about. His next step, to bring their mothership, their home, their suits, and anything else, with them.
Prime ignored the battle that Sister rages entirely. He followed Brother over to the portal to watch over him. He wasn’t helping Brother, and yet, he clearly had plenty of faith in Sister to man the battle. Did he not trust Brother to do it on his own?
So then why not help?
Prime merely stood and he watched. Why?
I didn’t think much of it until the following scenes.
When Leo explodes the portal and the Brother on it.
Interrupting the altercations of the portal is clearly a very deadly endeavor, and Leo basically just blew Brother up. I have to wonder if Prime knew that was a possibility. Brother is straight unconscious, blown away by the force of the explosion. Prime has no hesitations in catching him, even before he’s certain that he has the footing to steady the both of them.
Once the chaos stops, he gently sets Brother down beside him and narrows his eyes in a way that promises to return the pain. Sister’s immediate reaction is to shriek and look to Prime. She doesn’t pounce or shout or try to rip the key from Leo’s hands. She looks over to her brothers, checking on the one who is unconscious and pained.
It’s Prime, with a silent fury that promises all bloodshed and no mercy, that mans the attack on the blue masked creature who showed up when everyone else left, interrupted their plans for freedom and corruption, and put his Brother and Sister in peril.
Now he finally chooses to fight, rather than to defend, and to put an end to the miserable little nuisance who’s more trouble remaining alive than it would be to kill him like he tried to murder his Brother.
Idk if u remember me but i was the one who told u I had entered my first writing competition
And I hope u don't mind me asking this but does posting ur stories always feel this stressful
Like I'm so unbelievably fearful 😰
Ik you post super often does the fear like subside or do u get less afraid as time goes by?
<3
Of course I remember you!! And always feel free to ask me questions! I don't promise to answer everything, but I always appreciate the opportunity to chat it up with my Tumblr peeps :3
"Ik you post super often" I am so glad you perceive it that way because I constantly feel like I don't post nearly as much as I should. I'm well aware there is no actual "should" deadline. But still.
I can't speak for every writer, but I have never not been afraid to post.
I can't tell you the number of times that I've had to post something mid-cringe because I feel like it's the worst thing I've ever written. And then I just refuse to check my email for 24 hours because I can't stand the thought of someone noticing how bad it is. I've posted clips on Tumblr and then turned off notifications and ditched plenty of times.
Writing is the BEST, and I love my work. Riiight up until the moment that I have to post it. Then I am always struck with this wave of anxiety.
But, as they say, "courage is doing something even when you're scared," and that's one of the main reasons that I do it. (And I'm not perfect. Sometimes I post things and then take them down 20 minutes later because even after posting, I couldn't surpass the fear.)
Whether the fear goes away as you post/publish more or you have to fight it every time you show someone your work, be glad! There are some who can't reach the courage like you have. And that regret is a heavier burden to carry than the fear will ever be.
You should brought up the 'But he's family' quote from Mikey, if Rise fans wanna talk about abusive parents, maybe bring up the fact that the ROTTMNT show has a abuse apologia episode by saying that a creator/parent ( who has no qualms killing you before ) deserves a second chance.
I mean I thought the Draxum arc was really good and well thought out in the sense that it was designed to remind the audience that (despite his sometimes aggressive/dismissive nature) Mikey is still the most hopeful/uplifting/light of the group in this series.
I don't agree with the message as a whole (force someone who didn't ask for your help into accepting your outlook & make your family, who has expressed discomfort with the abuser, join your efforts despite their desire to have space), but I do think it was good for them to bring Draxum around since he was trying to be a good person and protect the Yoki from genocide. But that's just my take
Sometimes I feel like I give off the impression that I don't like rottmnt. Or like I think it's a bad show or somethin. I think it's a great addition to Donnie and Raph and April as characters. It's my best friend's favorite iteration. (Despite my best efforts.) I still laugh at their gooberish antics and walk around saying "HE WOULD NEVER!!" and "Surprise~" and "GET YOUR MIND RIGHT SON" to which few around me knows what I'm talking about. I know the lyrics to Donnie's rap.
As a 12 and Rise! Splinter lover, my stance for which on the bad father is...
Neither and Both.
Parents can never be perfect, Its impossible, people are never perfect.
However, 12 Splinter is more good father leaning while Rise is more bad father leaning.
If people say 12 Splinter is a bad father for being called more teacher terms instead of father terms? I call my dad other words besides dad. I have friends that do aswell. (It happends people)
If people say 12 Splinter is bad because he's not always around? Well first of all, he is, they can go to him at anytime. And he doesn't leave the sewers unless his sons are in trouble.
There's never been a person in my life that I regard as bad just because they aren't around me 24/7.
For Rise Splinter, I would can him a bad father, but he isn't a bad person.
He did try to raise the turtles, but he was forced into this life style and turned into a rat so quickly he probably couldn't process it all. And he can't get a therapist because well, he's a giant rat. (Not an excuse, an explanation)
For as why I call him a bad father isn't because of the hug thing. (I would use it an a argument for why he's a bad father but it's already been done so I'm not.)
He left the toodler tmnt alone with sharp REAL ninja weapons.... for TV.
Yes all Spinters gave the toddler tmnt ninja weapons but (from what I remember) 12 Splinter gave them woods at a time and also he is repeatedly shown watching them when they train. By time they are 15 he can trust them to use their weponds without supervision.
Another reason I have for why Rise Splinter is a bad father: favoritism? I wouldn't say he gives one what they want and ingnores the rest but.
WHY DOES DONNIE HAVE A CALENDAR MARKED FOR THE LAST TIME SPLINTER HAS HUNG OUT WITH THEM????
Why is he keeping track of that? Of all things he could track, he chooses that.
Repeatedly is Donnie specifically craving more validation from Spinter over the rest.
The others get exited when Splinter offers hugs or to hang out but Donnie stops at nothing for it. (I guess it could be his need for validation tho)
Yeah I wanted to throw my two cents in here.
It ain't perfect, and my memory might be failing me for some parts but its here.
Have a great night/day people!
One last thing tho.....both the 12! Family and Rise! Family need to start treating Donnie better.....
However, 12 Splinter is more good father leaning while Rise is more bad father leaning.
This is the vibe that I too share.
If people say 12 Splinter is a bad father for being called more teacher terms instead of father terms? I call my dad other words besides dad. I have friends that do aswell. (It happends people)
I know someone who has spent their entire life referring to their parents by their first name. THEIR FIRST NAME!! That's so wild to me. But it's just how all the kids were raised. (Fun fact: they still have a family dynamic. Because they're still parents and that's their children.)
If people say 12 Splinter is bad because he's not always around? Well first of all, he is, they can go to him at anytime. And he doesn't leave the sewers unless his sons are in trouble.
I feel like we're only mad at Splinter for "not being around" because April points out that he doesn't go on that one mission in the first season, but if you notice, his sons didn't ask for him to come.
Actually, they are constantly excluding him. They don't tell him information during missions because they think he'll stop them from going. They sneak out when he does stop them. They lie to him when they need help but pretend it's not for a mission. And he lets them. They don't want their father looking over their shoulder. (But, notably, he's constantly up-to-date on their adventures, which means they are telling him things- likely after missions are over.)
"Splinter isn't around" do you know how many times this man has grounded them because a mission was too dangerous? He's TRYING to keep them safe and with him all the time. THEY DON'T LISTENNN
When they turned 15, Splinter understood that they wanted space from him, so he gave them space. While being present enough to be pushed away. While coming every time they ask for him. Like???
We've all been teens, and we certainly never wanted our parents all up in our business. We actually call parents who ignore our boundaries things like "helicopter parents." Why is 12'Splinter evil for this?
For Rise Splinter, I would can him a bad father, but he isn't a bad person.
Distinctions are very important. And I agree with this.
It's actually crazy how the show is very blunt about how problematic 18'Splinter is, and yet plenty of the audience denies any of it. At the point that your child is banning you from the tv and lecturing you in the middle of the street, something has gone wrong in the household.
The last one isn't necessarily derived from what you said, but it is a problem that I notice. Like him eating his kids candy in the toddler episode. Using his sons' base desires (physical affection & the desire to spend time with him) to get what he wants. Taking their things (mostly Donnie's) that is 100% theirs without asking/notifying first.
One last thing tho.....both the 12! Family and Rise! Family need to start treating Donnie better.....
2012 Donnie knowing exactly how far April's apartment was from them was NOT weird and anyone who acts shocked and freaks out about that scene is completely blind to how Donnie's character had been portrayed up until that point.
Donnie gets a lot of shit in this fandom for being a creep, and I always see people go crazy over this scene like it proves he's a stalker.
And to that, I say – no? 😭 Have we been watching 2012 with our eyes closed and ears blocked?
Okay, the scene I'm talking about for a refresher is the very beginning of S2E1, 'The Mutation Situation'. The turtles are skateboarding around and being loud and still on high spirits over the fact they stopped the end of the world, at a point they're going over rooftops, to which Donnie then suddenly halts and says –
'Hey, are we gonna stop by April's? We are 1.3 blocks and 6 – no, no, – seven metres away from her apartment.'
First of all, all of the TMNT know where April's apartment is. 😭 Mikey, Leo, and Raph also probably all knew they were in April's area at that moment, just not exactly how far. Because they're not Donnie.
Guys, Donnie has always been extremely accurate and specific. It's a major part of his character. Literally one of his most popular clips is him correcting Raph on a SOUND.
'It actually makes things go — zweee, schoooo, pop! ... It's important to be accurate.'
The dude also knew how far they went back in time based on the Earth's relative position to the sun when Fugitoid took them back in time to reverse the destruction of Earth.
If Donnie was only this specific when it came to April, I could understand saying how it's a bit weird – but it's not just an April exclusive thing. He's like that with everything. Whether he's saying a distance or anything else, Donnie is always going to be exact instead of saying something broad.
If you're celebrating, why would you not wanna go and include your friend who you know lives nearby? 💔
This is what Donnie basically said – 'Hey guys, aren't we gonna go and see April? She lives around here.'
I bet if Donnie had said that instead, nobody would lose their minds about it — but poor Donnie says it in his stupid, nerdy, and hyper-specific phrasing, and he gets called a stalker and a creep.
Not to mention the fact that this is an on-the-spot estimate, made obvious by the fact he says a number, then says no and changes his mind to a different one. He doesn't even know her distance off by heart. He's making a guess right then and there.
