Sand and the sea
The two sat on the bow of the rowboat, watching the ocean grass sway with the tide. They liked it there. The water was cold but in a nice, right way. The girl wiggled her toes in the water. The boy watched. She was lovely. He smiled, she smiled back.
"Come on, my toes are getting cold," she said. The boy rowed them back in. He watched her hair blowing in the wind. He knew she was special. Also, he was sure he loved her. The sun had almost set when they reached the shore. She held his hand. It was warm and comforting. They walked so that the waves broke over their ankles. His feet were cold by the time that they got back to the town. He didn't care; he was happy. He walked her all the way home. She kissed him on the cheek and went inside. He smiled and walked back to the boat. He sat on the boat for a very long time. The girl was on his mind. He thought about her and the sea, and how he was happy.
