Beautiful evening at the Crisis is a greek word' exhibition. Congratulations to all participants.
Design and illustration for the invitation of 'La Traviata' presented on Megaron Concert Hall of Thessaloniki, kindly sponsored by Alpha Bank. La traviata 'The Fallen Woman' is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi set to an italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. The opera was originally entitled 'Violetta' after the main character. It was first performed on 6 March 1853 at the Fenice Opera House in Venice. Some interesting words by Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) 'Unfortunately I was born poor, in a very poor village, where I didn't have the chance to be taught anything great really. I was offered a horrible spinet from the person that played the organ at the the church so I started to play and to write endless notes…this was all'.
It was a beautiful evening, the terrace of polkadot design was transformed into a fabulous setting for the party with the best view!

Have a snack Jack
Picture book idea around the practice parents have of going to ridiculous lengths to try and get their children to eat. It combines fun nutritional information and the wonderful imagination of children, whilst taking a light hearted dig at parents.

Illustration inspired by the folk art carnival costumes as well as the traditional womens’ costumes of Xanthi. They also carry characteristics of nature, of the ‘ritual madness’ and spiritual ecstasy of the Dionysian festivals. As the theme for this year was ‘in love at carnival’ we chose to combine red, black and white colour to make a strong and passionate visual statement.
Greek Crisis
Illustrations inspired by 'Karagiozis' a Greek fictional shadow puppet from the 19th Century. We went back to the past and dragged out national folk phrases related to ‘Karagiozis’ that were full of wisdom, humour and prophetically describe the current situation.
