I’m incredibly excited to reveal what I’ve been working on for the last couple weeks! It’s a portrait of Frances Humber, titled Flowers On Your Favorites. Drawn in pencil, inked with Micron pens, then colored in Photoshop. I incorporated as many of Frances’ favorite flowers as I could; sunflowers, tulips, and Harrison’s Yellow roses. The shape of the frame was inspired by the radio sitting next to her picture in the game. This is the first Nancy Drew drawing I’ve ever done, and I’m super proud of it. Babysitting a toddler is a lot like being the narration in a point-and-click adventure game. Watching him knock on the doors of empty rooms and saying "hmm. I don't think anyone's in there". Watching him attempt to use [spoon] on [cat] and saying "I don't think those things go together". Watching him throw a cup of water onto the floor and just commenting "the floor is wet now" when he looks up at me to see if I approve.

Some more from one of my all time favorite ND games! Just love all the characters and the story (though it is a bit corny... still hits me in the feels a bit). But there's no horse bc I didn't have it in me to paint a horse, I'm sorry 😢

Some Nancy Drew portraits I did as practice 🤧

I did it in a Disco inspired style cause I wanted to go fckin crazy and just paint with no sketching. Plus, I wanted practice in drawing a more diverse cast than just like… hot woman, and figured Nancy Drew might be good practice. Next I wanna do Shadow Ranch 🤠

Oh, and… WHALES RULE!!
