Meet Marendo - the jungle dragon 🐉🌺🍹

He’s a mix of 4 species - blue & gold macaw, lemur, cobra and zebra!

Some fun facts about this guy:

- can hang and swing on trees with his long lemur tail

- uses a cobra hood when scared or in danger (or just for fun). but normally his hood is hidden and is not noticeable at all

- his wings are feathered, but have a unique anatomical structure - each wing is divided into three separate ailerons

- bird-like, scaled dragon paws. very clingy, help to grip on tree branches well

- wings have the same patterns on the top and bottom

- has small 🤏 rotatable lemur ears

- his crazily bright colouring is the perfect camouflage in the jungle

- has big ribbed horns

- loves his weird pink cap he found somewhere and wears it often

Behold! An homage to Stardust Crusaders based on my travel photos taken at Haw Par Villa. Sadly the Tiger Balm Garden that the SDC cast visits in Hong Kong was demolished in 2004, but I got to visit its sibling in Singapore. It was honestly a super charming destination even with my geeky intentions aside, but it felt in the spirit of the series to take the Jojos with me while I toured Asia this winter.
