Hey guys, 

Just wanna thank you most of you who sent me encouraging messages and gratitude for the recent Toby and Guy strip I’ve done on the subject of depression. I’ve replied a few and I had a hard time replying everyone so yeah, I decided to write this post. 

Actually the credit to helping me shape Guy’s character backstory goes to my boyfriend, Ed - who suggested having the character dealing with depression. It is no doubt, a difficult strip to work on because it was very personal. Diego’s explanation to Toby on Guy insecurities is a projection of my own inner demons that I find it difficult to put to words, express or share with my loved ones or close friends. Safe to say, this comic is like a healing process for me and in a way seems to reach out to others going through a rough patch themselves too. 

I am both glad and happy to not only inspire young aspiring artists with my artworks but also to touch and help out others with my stories and comics (If I’m not making you cry, or scaring the crap out of you and made you all having nosleeps). Thank you again for your encouragement and continue to follow your dreams and passion, and above all, be humble and never stop learning. 

For those of you who are in the dark, always remember, you’re not alone.
