“Too personal? Nah. Just how it is with me.” Julian shrugged. “Sorry, if I got a little rough with your toys though.”
“They are Dr. Pym’s toys. One cannot expect too much of school gym equipment, yes? There /is/ a budget. Are yours really so much more advanced?”
“Very well. My first question concerns your legends of Cain. I should like to hear it from you, as it was told to you, please.”
“Alright, which part? Because there are a lot of legends. Which part do you want to hear?”
“Begin at the beginning. How did this Cain come to be?”
“Attempting to break and enter? Yes. You realize that if you use the front door, you will more than likely be accepted to Avengers Academy, correct?”
He snorted. “Yeah, n-no. I d-don’t want to break into h-here.”
“That is wise. What is it you seek here?”
“Is that was this is called? I am merely attempting social conversation. I find you interesting, and it seemed you did, as well. If there is another topic you wish to pursue, I am not adverse to a change in subject.”
“Did….did you just make a pass at flirting with me?” He said as he finished eating. “My god you are really a nerd you would be at least 5 times more attractive if you didn’t speak properly and with the nerdiness”
“I honestly do not know what you mean by ‘nerdiness’, Red Hood.”
“You’re too proper, feels like I’m next to an AI brick wall with a stick up its ass.” He said going through his phone. “Like relax I know you’re smart and all but c'mon even proper people can relax a bit.” He said as he leaned back. “Didn’t you graduate from some like super school at a young age?”
“…The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at fourteen. I fail to see what that has to do with this? Just because I avoid vernacular does not make me any less human.”
“It does just a little bit. Gives off the feeling that you’re all work and no fun which makes for people who try to approach you with any actual interest or fun ideas turn around and question why they even try.”
“If merely my vocabulary turns them away, I have doubts I would appreciate their ‘fun ideas’ in the first place. It sounds like a self-correcting problem.”
She watched the girl run through the course, staying by the beginning. Out of respect, she kept quiet until Finesse got to the end. “I did not know he had a biological daughter…I am sorry..” Echo dropped back to the ground, lowering her head.
It had gone a little faster after all, but she wasn’t sure if it was enough a difference to warrant that much of a change. At the words, her eyebrow rose. “How could you possibly have known without being told? Do not apologize.”
“Impressive. What can you do without your power? Or is it entirely instinctive…?”
He flew away from the pile of now broken machines and off the platform. “Without? I’d be as useless as any flatscan and a cripple on top of that too.” He said in a huff. “Well no, it mostly works with me focusing but yeah sometimes they work like a reflex too… I guess..“

“Common ground is a good thing.” She raised an eyebrow, not that it would be especially easy to tell. “How do you wish to begin? You still have greater knowledge of all this than I.”
“To be honest, my knowledge is mostly hearsay. Most of what I know was told to me by other people. So really, the best way to proceed is for you to ask questions.”

So far Finesse seems to be the only one not overreacting to being lost in a supermarket.

“My name is Wanda Angelique Mercedes Wilson. AKA, “Lady Deadpool.”

“I am Finesse. A pleasure to meet you, Lady Deadpool.”
((I totally do.)) “Finesse, huh?” “Well you’re probably wondering what am I doing in your house?” “Well it’s simple.” “I’m looking for a Koala, carrying a rocket launcher.”
“...I have never seen one of those. You waste your time, I fear.”
“Of course you don’t.”
“Why is that presumed?”
“Are you allowed to be here?” Echo watched her move. Despite the lack of expression on her face, she couldn’t help but feel awe struck at this stranger. “I do not remember being told anyone else would be coming around.”
“Are you informed of every occurrence here?” she questioned. She finally stopped her mulling to look at the girl.
“Not always, but enough to know who is and is not permitted to come here.” Echo frowned, not liking this girl’s questions. Why did she act like she owned the place? “If you are not a friend or ally of my dad I will have to ask that you leave…..” A silent ‘or else’ was greatly implied.
“I do not know the identity of you or your father. However, I certainly have full permission to be here. I will continue while verify this fact for yourself.”
“Taskmaster.” That was all she said, waiting for a reaction. She continued to stare at the presumably older girl. At least she seemed a bit older, if only in maturity level and not actual age.
“He is also my father.” She started pacing back towards the start of the course. “I know the man.”
Echo blinked, thrown off slightly at her reply. She flew over to the start, hovering next to it as she observed the other girl. Well at least now she knew she wasn’t an intruder, but that just opened up even more questions. “Biological or adopted?”
“Biological,” she responded. She fell into a crouch and narrowed her eyes--then took off running through the course.
