i’m feeling a lot of love for ross “just a drummer” steven federman so here’s every reason i absolutely LOVE the man:

•fucking INCREDIBLE drummer and is one of the many reasons i, as a guitarist, have the utmost respect for drummers

•like holy FUCK the amount of just,, like coordination needed???? the fucking SAMBA BEAT IN BANANA MAN LIKE HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EVEN DO THAT???? AND THE “THUNDER” CRASHES IN SPRING AND A STORM AND THE FACT HE HAS TO REACH OUT AND MUTE HIS HI-HATS TO GIVE JOE ABSOLUTE SILENCE DURING THE NEVER AGAIN PART AT THE EXACT RIGHT TIME LIKE OH MY GOD IT FLOORS ME

•seriously like listening to the drum parts for tally hall songs are my favorite thing they’re all so impressive and really complicated like god,, he’s so talented

•GOING OFF OF THAT HE WAS THE CENTER SNARE IN COLLEGE AT U OF M WHEN HE WAS LIKE 18 OR 19???? HOLY SHIT

•imagine like being one of the snares and you look at the Best Of The Best and it’s some fucking kid who’s face says he’s 12 but who’s hair says he’s 45 minimum and he’s just fucking killing it. how do you react to that

•apparently he knows he’s that good™️ bc the reason the band reached out to him was bc joe was like “hey there’s this guy like 2 or so years behind me who never shuts the fuck up about how good he is at drumming maybe we should humor him” and he Was That Good

•ross is also a VERY PUBLIC supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and even attended a pride parade!!! he also criticized pride parades for having mostly corporate floats rather than small businesses like damn go off ross i’m glad i’m not the only one who gets pissed off at that

•like he made matthew altruda drive to staples right after picking him up from the airport so ross could make a masking tape trans flag. we stan.

•loves his (totally awesome) wife! every time i hear or see ross talk about the totally awesome science stuff she does it adds a decade to my lifespan

•is just really cool towards fans??? like he’s so sweet and down to earth and once let my friend interview him for a school project aaaa

•very down to earth its nice

•fucking intelligent as hell. was an undergrad at a very prestigious university and after touring went to fucking yale. YALE!!!

•soft voice,,, squeaky voice,,,, leads one of my favorite tally hall covers

•an amazing dj. in every video of him on stage i’ve seen he looks like he’s having the time of his life and honestly good for him
