One in a Million | Junko + Ishimaru
He couldn’t begin to believe his good fortune when he learned that his school had an active Kendo club! Having practiced the art back at his former school, he integrated quickly, impressing most with his gumption and determination. A light sweat clung to his skin as he waved good bye to a couple of classmates who also participated in the after school activity.
The breeze was nice today, and however much he would have liked to just return home and soak his bumps and bruises, he had to stop by the local grocery store to pick up some eggs, a staple he was running low on.
But, as he motioned to the entrance of the supermarket, a very familiar voice echoed. Not only a voice, but a nickname he hadn’t heard in years. He turned to address the voice and surprised couldn’t even begin to describe how he felt. He gasped, a smile running over his face to see such a familiar figure in his new, foreign home.
But, it fell quickly and he cleared his throat. It was Enoshima Junko, someone whom he could never forget.
“Enoshima-kun. While I certainly wouldn’t call it fancy, I am surprised to see you in Prava of all places. Uncanny would be a better way to describe it,” he corrected astutely, his posture rigid, unflinching.
[♔]-- "Uncanny?" Junko scoffed in good humor as she dismissively waved her hand in the air. "Don't you think meeting me again is more like a blessing on your part? An answer to your prayers?" If she had to be honest though, she was actually quite glad that she had caught sight of a familiar face in Prava. Well, of course she was glad that she met her friends here but this was different considering Ishi was, after all, very amusing to talk to. Annoying but amusing.
The gyaru gracefully stood up from her seat and let her steps carry her closer to the dark-haired boy, an entertained smile gracing her lips. She was aware of how displeased Ishi must be at the moment for seeing her here, of all places. She couldn't even believe that she had forgotten about the fact that her former neighbor actually moved here for the sake of being under the education of St. Orwell Academy.
A quirk of her brow indicated her curiosity regarding how Ishi was somewhat perspiring and a soft chuckle escaped her lips.
"Have you been running around your school again?" She asked, her words laced with a teasing tone. "Chasing after kids and yelling at how they're not allowed to run in the halls even though you're running after them like the little hypocrite you are?"
