first off, i have COMPLETELY redesigned shining armor for this AU! this is what he looks like now.

and to answer your question: Cadence and Shining aren't married quite yet, but he has indeed been fed a lot of propaganda. it takes Twilight begging him for help to make him even question his orders at all! But eventually, he does begin to wonder what the end goal to all Celestia's orders are.

He is becoming increasingly suspicious and paranoid.
