⭐ I've always been interested on selfshipping, but I'm just now brave enough for it. I'm still very new to this so I'm confused about everything I'm doing ^^

What do Pawbert and Lake like to snack on?

Ohhh it has been a while since I got any ask here :> I miss this account

Considering what we've seen in the movie, I believe Pawbert has his own version of cat snacks 😭 Lake would watch him eating like "why do you like it!?"

And Lake prefers sweets, and they almost ALWAYS snacks, no matter what time of the day it is (after all, they hate cooking). They're not the healthiest hyena...

i am at a total loss at what to name them, but my self insert (& selfship) for GOAT (2026) !! they're a brown hyena that helps Jett see the joys in life after the events of the movie (vague to spoil as litle as possible!! you should really watch this film!!!)

I remember around this same time last year was when you and a few other artists were posting your Mouthwashing OCxCanons which is honestly what inspired me to be confident and start writing my own!! 

(I still think about Mouthwashing Vi sometimes, I was a big big fan of them…🥲)

Maybe I should bring Mouthwashing Vi back... I was never so creative with a selfship plot like I was with theirs

And Pawbert and Lake do have a little lore in my mind, but I'm still deciding the details! As anything can change and I'm not fully sure about anything... I won't write everything yet. But yeah, my idea is that the two had a very intense short relationship that ended in the worst way possible

So, hm, yeah

I certainly didn't create an OC (that is kiiinda a self insert) just to ship her with an anthro lynx from a kids movie. No no no. This is something I would do when I was 12 years old, now I'm 24

Jokes aside, I thought it would make a fun plot to give Pawbert a short lived romance with a troubled hyena. To make him feel loved for once just for everything end up terribly. He'll learn absolutely nothing with this experience, actually.

In the first picture here, I was imagining a different version of him: an younger (in his early 20's) and more hopeful Pawbert

With time, I might tell more about this silly story I'm coming up with, because I honestly still deciding the details. All I'll say for now is that I'm almost sure I'll be calling this hyena "Lake", hah

Sorry I'm a little late with this but really sorry to hear that man tho I am curious. Do you think you'll ever show ship art again even if it's just on your main? Of course this isn't something you have to do soon or anything. It's ok if you just want to do it for yourself if at all, just asking out of pure curiosity.

Being fully honest... I've been feeling kinda weird about selfshipping, like I mentioned before. And now that I spent so much time without drawing anything related to it and focusing on cc x cc ships instead... I feel embarrassed again? Like I'm back to square one

But, if I ever draw it again - which I'm almost sure I will - I'll be sure to post it here!

But seriously, I felt like I needed a break from selfshipping. It started getting... Less fun. I know there are many "selfshipping is not supposed to feel like a competition!!" posts out here but it did felt this way to me and that was messing up with my brain. It was like I had to prove my love for the characters all the time - drawing my ships a lot; writing their lore; coming up with great and creative ideas for their relationships - and it made me too tired.

And the worst part is that this is no one's fault but my own mind's. Heh. At least I can realize it now and try to change and realize when something was starting to have a negative effect on me
