Hooray! We won the Austin Television Pitch competition. We will now work with an industry mentor toward the next step in this wonderful journey. To all our fans who never gave up after even a year had passed, you can be assured that we also kept hard at work, ever motivated by your support. We will keep you updated on our progress. ATX Television Festival

Things have been quiet for a bit, but we’re actually still hard at work figuring out how to have a Season 2 of I Made America (and get James Madison back!). One opportunity that came up is the Austin TV Festival, where I Made America is a Finalist. We’ll be pitching the show to a bunch of producers/execs with the chance of sharing it with TV studios and networks later. As long shots go, it’s a very long one, but we wanted you guys to know that we’re still working. Also if anyone is in Austin and wants to come to the pitch event, support I Made America, and see 9 other really cool pitches, we would love to see you! Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton and John Adams will be there too! Tickets are a bit pricey, so let us know if you can’t get in. We’ll come meet you outside after the pitch. June 9 from 10-12am at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel.

Congratulations to our friend Marc for becoming a finalist in the Austin Television Festival Pitch Competition! He and I shall venture to Texas this June to share our story with people of import.

I know it’s been a while, but I finally composed myself from sheer excitement - poordicks is following me! I’m genuinely really sorry shenanigans on this blog, so as a sign of my gratitude - a drawing! It truly is such an honor, sir!

New IMA Video

Perhaps a few of you have seen a glimpse of a new video with Marc and I.  It is nothing definite, it was simply what Marc calls a "Pitch Reel."  We meant to upload it private, but youtube decided to forgo our opinions for a bit.  

Regardless, we are simply pitching our story to some "Pilot Competitions."  Nothing is definite, but no reward comes from sitting idly by.

Have you tried the seasonal flavours of pop tarts? I can attest that the gingerbread ones are quite good, as are the pumpkin pie flavoured ones.

I have enjoyed the gingerbread ones, but have not had the pleasure of the pumpkin tarts.

Friend in Cambridge

A close Chicago friend of mine is going to be in Cambridge this weekend producing an improv competition for college students.  What should he do while he is there? I no longer know what the best things are to do in the Boston area.

An Update

Dearest friends,

I want to take a moment to let you know that myself and the rest of the fathers see your posts, and your desire for there to be more documentation of our lives.  I will tell you, that in some way and at some time we will be back online and our lives will once again be visible and followable.  Unfortunately, we are still unsure as to when and in what capacity that will occur.

However, we are still moved by your hopes, and uplifted by your thoughts.  You are all keeping the I Made America documentary alive by believing in it, and for that we thank you.

Go forth and live out today with your chin up and your hearts warm, for that is the feeling you give all of us.
