My Dad made these instruments (by hand! from scrap!) and gifted us with them recently. They are: A Thomas Hinds double cigar box guitar, made from two too small boxes. AND a dulcimer, with a small cigar box to hold the dowel/pick and the tuner.

I was browsing Etsy art and noticed this shop- the artist is from Quebec, and her work is affordable, super-colorful, whimsical and fun. The whole shop is a real feast for the eyes and definitely worth a browse.
