Ciara sat here in her room and she was feeling all kind of nerves but was Poppy right? Did she need a night out? Did she need this to maybe get out of her comfort zone? She sighed, “I don’t want to change though Poppy, I just want to see if this is all worth it, I like being the girl who hides in her books, and get on with work.” She sighed and nodded at the girl, Hearing the girls words made her feel more safe and confident and have more respect for the girl, “Well I mean for now we can make that pact if that’s okay but if things change when e’re in the club or whatever we can talk.” She stated and smiled at the girl and nodded, “Anything, you’re used to this, maybe something natural.”

Poppy sat in the room with Ciara and started to do the girls make and looked at her and nodded a little, she wasn’t trying to change the girl but she was in college and it was the tiem to have fun make memories for life and that’s all she wanted. “I’m not trying to change you Ciara, I know me and you have never been close or even remotely close to friends I guess but I want you to have the college experience you should, I don’t mean party every night like I do but like make memories and have fun, because when we graduate the real world hits and we have to do real work and won’t be able to do as much then as we can now. I understand that but what will happen when you go to have kids and they want to know what your college life was, do you want ot say I just stayed in and read books?” She sighed looking down for a moment, she nodded, “Sounds like a plan girl.” She smiled for a moment before nodding, “I can do that.” She smiled as she started to apply the make up to Ciara’s face.

First Night Out || F2F - Ciara and Poppy

Ciara stood there in her room, she was nervous, what was going to happen tonight, she never knew what was going to happen and especially around Poppy, what was she going to be like. She sighed before looking over at the girl and smiled for a moment, wasn’t what she was going for but she took the compliment as she knew she needed to feel good at least. “Thanks I guess. It really isn’t me though.” She stated looking over at her, “Nervous. What happens if a guy tries to take me home? What if you go off?” She sighed, “Just still don’t understand why this is such an amazing thing you have to do.” She stated as she watched the girl do her eye shadow. Tilting her head she sighed smiling at the girl, “Could you do my make up though?”

Poppy sat there looking over at the girl, she had gone for a smoky eye as she looked over at the girl and laughed a little, “Well you never really know, things like this might make you different. But you experience new things.” She stated as she put a hand through her hair “Well you either tell the guy no or you go with him just be safe. If i go off, you can always find me, I promise I will stay with you unless I go off with some guy but if you want we can make a pact to both come back here tonight as we meet somewhere like by the girls toilets at 2am.” She stated. “It’s just really fun.” She sighed smiling and nodding, “Of course I can, what colors do you want?”

First Night Out || F2F - Ciara and Poppy

Ciara wasn’t sure if she could do this, she wasn’t sure she could go on a night out, it wasn’t in her nature to go partying and dance the night away and drink. But she had to prove Poppy wrong and this was her only way to prove her wrong. Sharing a room with the girl ended up being a night mare but what could she do, there times that she was nice and she did know that the girl would have her back if she needed it. She decided to wear a tight dress, it was pink and it suited her and she looked over at Poppy when she was dressed, “So does this look okay?”

Poppy glanced over at the girl once she was ready and dressed and saw she still wasn’t ready. Poppy decided to do her make up without her, she was excited for the night ahead, she knew the girl would enjoy it even if she kept believing otherwise. She wanted the girl to actually experience life and not just hide within a book. As she was doing her eye shadow, she heard the girls question and she looked around to see the pink body con dress and she smiled and nodded, “Girl you fucking hot. See this stuff already is you.” She smiled looking at her, “How you feeling?” She said as she finished her eye shadow before making sure it looked even in the mirror.

Ciara was wondering what had got the girl in the mood to party in the first place, was there a reason she went reckless? Because she didn’t understand why she would want to party all the time, why she would find it fun if there was no reason to actually go out. She laughed, “And why would want to find a guy when I’m drunk or morel like he’s drunk, he’ll just want me for sex. Who said I was lonely Poppy?” She asked raising her eyebrows for a moment. She shrugged, “So you’re saying go out without expectations? Okay, I will try that.”

Poppy sat there as she started to take her make up off from the night, because if she didn’t she would forget. She tied her hair up as she looked over at the girl for a moment, “You’d be surprised who you would be interested in or what happens with you and another guy. It might just be making out, or just hanging out and getting to know. It’s not always about sex and it doesn’t have to be if you don’t want it to be. Well you don’t exactly seem overly happy about being in here on your own.” She stated looking at her and nodded, “Yes and trust me it’ll work.”

Ciara sat there on the bed as she put her hand through her hair trying to make everything just shut up, she was tired and now she wanted to go to bed and she knew Poppy wouldn’t shut up no matter what. “Well lets see i you’re right about that or not because I don’t even care if I enjoy the night or not.” She laughed a little, “Well I will try but do you know how hard it is to go without any expectations. I never called you dumb.”

Poppy glanced pr at the girl or a moment shaking her head laughing a little, “OH I will be, you never know you might even find a guy whilst you’re out and you might not be so lonely if you come out.” She laughed a little not know if that was really going to e a possibility but she hoped it was. She laughed, “No, because I never go out with expectations, works great for e.” She stated looking at the girl briefly.

Ciara sat there glancing over at Poppy trying to understand her for a moment, she really didn’t get why partying was such a big thing to Poppy but she couldn’t be bothered to try and judge her any longer. “You can keep saying it’s going to e the best week of my life, but I am honestly not sure in all honesty, I will just wait and see what happens.” She sighed looking down for a moment placing her hand through her hair and her book on her cabinet.

Poppy was sure he had been placed in the wrong room when they started but there wasn’t much she could do now, she just wished the girl was a bit more open to new experiences. “No you’re hoping it’s terrible so you can prove that you’re right and that you’re wrong. Here’s some advice, don’t go in with any expectations and just see what it’s like.” She stated looking at her, “I might be a party girl but I’m not dumb.”

Ciara couldn’t help but sigh, she honestly wanted this night to be over, she really wished she just could go to sleep and let poppy go out of her mind but in her mind, she knew she wanted to try, she wanted to spend a night at least doing something she wasn’t used to. It was part of the college experience she always wanted but never admitted so she kept it to herself and if Popper heard her admit that she would never let it go. “Right okay, I believe you.”

Poppy glanced over at Ciara for a moment, all she could do was laugh a little before glancing around their room, how they got roomed together she didn’t know but it was something she had to deal with. Partying was something Poppy was good at and she would remain good at as long as she could. She looked over at Ciara, “I better start planning now, you’re really going to have the best week of your life.”

Ciara was sitting on her bed and she honestly couldn’t believe she was listening to the girl, she wished she could just zone back in to her music but it was too late, it was too late to go back to that, that girl wasn’t going to stop. She laughed ,”Well if they were interesting then maybe I would make the effort to go to these parties. Sure I would, I doubt it, might as well copy someone else’s story and make it my own and get caught for plagerising some other story.” She laughed a little before looking at the girl and nodded, “Yes next week, the sooner you’re off my case, I will b very happy.” She stated looking at her for a moment.

Poppy glanced over at Ciara, she tried to understand the girls attitude, she had no clue what her problem was but she couldn’t do much about that. She laughed, “Well if you say so but I’m not the one sitting at home wasting my time reading? You’re missing all the hot guys and the hot attractive guys that you could be making out with” She laughed a little and nodded for a moment, “Great, I am so excited for this, you’re going to have the best week of your life.”

Ciara sat there looking over at Poppy, she was irritated and the girl wasn’t helping her calm down but she wasn’t going to say anything. She laughd a little, “Yeah you would think they are interesting because you’re the one there but to the rest of us or at last to me they really aren’t. And you might not hear it but it’s the same story every single time when you tell me.” She stated wondering what the girl was talking about and she rally couldn’t care less to listen right now. Shaking her head, “No I would’t want o write a story about your life, that would be pretty pointless since everyone as written stories like that before.” She stated before looking down and shrugging for a moment and then glanced over at her and nodded, “Yes I am saying I will try it, I want ot know what’s so fascinating about your life and what makes exciting. SO I want ot see if you can prove me wrong.”

Poppy glanced over at the girl whilst she slouched on her bed, how Ciara could think her life was boring, she had no clue because seriously, her life was more interesting the she even knew but she would make Ciara see that even if it took a while. “How do you know they aren’t interesting when you haven’t experienced anything more interesting. Come on if you wrote a story about my life, you would probably earn a lot of money from it and you can be a famous author. My story is definitely unique.” She sighed a little looking at the girl for a moment before nodding at her and laughed a little, “Thank goodness, never thought I would be able to get you out of your funk. Okay great, next week maybe.”

Ciara glanced over to the girl who was sitting there on her bed and she wanted to scream, she had no clue why she never asked to move rooms. The girl laughed sarcastically, “Do you really think they are interesting? They are more predictable and boring and a waste of my time and I shouldn’t have to listen to them if I don’t want to hear them. Well I don’t really care if they do or not that’s their choice not mine.” She stated looking down for a moment. Shaking her head, “Yeah you’re life is jut empty which is why you fill it with all the nonsense you have been doing since I have met you.” She stated listening to her, sighing, she knew the girl had a point even if she never wanted to admit that and now she had to figure out what would be the best thing to do. “Fine, One Day and Night I will give to you and you can le me see what your life is actually like.” She sighed looking down.

Poppy couldn’t help but laugh at the girl, he wasn’t sure what she was doing or why the girl thought her life was boring and predictable, because it never was. Or rarely was. “Oh Ciara, really? Of course I think they are interesting, if I didn’t I wouldn’t come back to the room and talk about them. How about you write a story about my life, it would be great. Why not? Because what’s in those books is much better to read then listen to me?” She laughed shaking her head for a moment and raised her eyebrows in alarm, “You think my life is empty? Why would you think that Ciara? I mean seriously what makes you think that?” She raised her eyebrows as she heard the words and was in shock, she never expected to hear what the girl said, “So wait you’re actually going to try it? Spend the time with me to see if you enjoy it? Are you serious. See this is when I might actually like you because you’re trying. That’s all I want. You haven’t tried this life.”

Ciara didn’t know what he girl was doing or was wanting or was after, she wasnt the person Poppy wanted her to be and she probably never would be. She had come to terms with that many months ago but how could she make Poppy realize that. She shrugged, “Don’t you think it’s rude to make me listen to you? Or at least pull my headphones off. I am reading and I am quite happy doing that. Why should I take a break if I don’t want to, don’t I have a choice in what the hell I do with my own life.” She sighed before looking over at the girl and laughed a little, “And why the hell would I want to stop being so boring? To turn out like you? I am happy to do such a thing.”

Poppy sat there on his bed for a moment, she was beginning to get annoyed, she wanted to punch her roommate, but she knew violence wouldn’t answer anything. She laughed, “No not really, not when I have the interesting conversations to give you, unlike when it comes to you, with all the boring shit you read, it doesn’t help you. It makes you look boring and no one really wants to spend time with you.” She stated looking at the girl and laughed a little, “Well yes maybe since my life is so much more interesting then yours. You should try and get your ass up and have some fun for once. Just once and if you don’t like it, you can continue doing what ever you were originally doing.”

Ciara wasn’t even sure as to why she bothered with doing things to make her life easier, she knew either way it was going to get disrupted by Poppy either way. She didn’t know if she could handle it or if she should even bother saying something, Poppy never really listened to anyone’s voice unless it was her own so was it just going to be a pointless waste of time. As she put a good song on, she continued to focus on her book and not what Poppy was trying to say. This was until she felt her headphones being pulled of her head and she looked at the girl, “What the hell is wrong with you?” She snapped at the girl, Ciara wasn’t usually a girl to snap but this was something that annoyed her.

Ciara shook her head, “ I wasn’t listening no, because I wanted to read my book, which is the reason for the headphones. Can’t you just let me get on with my life.” She sighed looking at the girl. Sometimes she wished she could be more like her and have more fun but it wasn’t in Ciara’s nature.

Poppy was sick and tired of the girls excuses to not want to socialise or do all the fun things normal college students did. She had no clue why Ciara was always lost in her books instead of having fun like normal college students. It frustrated Poppy. She sat on the edge of her bed and looked at the girl, “Don’t you think it’s a little rude to ignore me just because you’re reading. You read all the god damn time, take a break. I would if you actually did something more interesting then spend it sitting in the dorm room every single day reading and doing nothing better.” She shook her head, “ You really need to stop being so boring, you’re never going to make it in the future or have that family you want if you spend all day every day sitting in the room reading, because you’re going to end up a loser and lonely.”

Ciara was stuck in the dorm, Ciara being the girl to always be reading and nothing else, she was used to that and it never really bothered her actually no it didn’t she loved it, it was always something she could enjoy up to early hours of the morning. The only problem, she had a roommate who loved to party and loved to do all the things she tended to try and avoid, but she was always rudely interrupted. She never used to mind, she would try and block it out but it was starting to bother her, which is why she was now putting on headphones whilst she read.

She was standing there waiting for the girl to come through the door, but she continued listening to her music and reading her book, she was really hoping for no interruptions, she had asked to move rooms so many times but they had declined, so she said she’d try and become friends with them but she really didn’t think that was going to happen they were complete opposites. It was likely they’ just clash on every single thing and she hated it.

As predicted it was two am and Poppy walked through the door and she smiled briefly before returning to her book, she was hoping the girl would just leave her be and get changed and go to bed and not disturb her, she felt the worry in the stomach.

Poppy loved the night life of college, she was out near enough every night and she wouldn’t stop for anyone, she loved it, she even loved spending time around all the guys, relationships for her was pointless. She never understood how people could do them, they just ended in misery and heartbreak and she was happy with going without that. She was always fine without them.

After enjoying her night out, she realized she needed to head back to her dorm, it wasn’t that she didn’t want to go back, she just couldn’t stand how boring Ciara was. She was determined to try and break her out of her comfort zone and make her more fun before the end of the year. It would be a challenge but she was sure she could do it.

She walked in to the room and threw her bag onto the bed, she smiled back at Ciara and started speaking, “Oh my god I had the most amazing night.” She stated before realizing the girl wasn’t listening. She got up and pushed her head, “Were you even listening to me Ciara?”
