Sam smiled at Brittany when she came to the door, not like it was hard. She was gorgeous and he would be a fool to not be attracted to her. He also really liked her personality and he was looking forward to this evening, more than he let on. “Yes truce. I can’t have the Brittany Pierce against me, can I?” He flirted back. He stepped into her house and nodded his head at her question. “Water would be fine actually. And I brought the movies and some snacks also, so this looks like it will be a very interesting night with the different snacks floating around.” Sam took off his jacket and hung it on the back of a chair. “So do you live alone? I mean besides from Lord Tubbington. Is he around? I would love to see this famous cat I’ve heard so much about.”

His smile lit up the entire room, and Brittany got that giddy feeling that was hard for anyone to bring out of her. He was flirting back, or so that was how she took it. Grinning, the blonde bit at her lower lip as she allowed him to come inside. They had teased each other over social media, but in person it was much harder to keep her cool. “Definitely not. I’m sweet as pie unless you get on my bad side.” The girl giggled and led Sam to the couch, gesturing that he make himself comfortable. “Okay, cool, I can handle that easily. We should get a giant bowl and throw all the candy in there together!” Britt expressed excitedly. “And nope, it’s just me and him. I think he’s hiding somewhere but he’ll likely come running in as soon as he hears a candy wrapper. Make yourself comfortable.” As Sam settled in Brittany returned with a water bottle for each of them, and a bowl as promised. “He’s not the most friendly cat, but since I like you, he probably will tolerate you,” she teased as she took a seat beside Sam on the couch and passed a bottle over. “So yeah... it’s just us.” Her eyes caught his and Brittany flashed Sam a suggestive smile. “Maybe I’ll enjoy this movie much better now that I have someone here to explain it to me.”

Sam made sure to leave his house a little earlier than planned so that he could also stop and get some good candy. He knew that Brittany said she would provide the candy, but he didn’t really trust her taste in movies, so he was not going to trust her taste in snacks especially if she said she liked candy corn. He had to admit that some part of him agreed to this date because she intrigued him and he wanted to see what she was all about. He looked over her tweets for the the past few months and found himself developing a little bit of acrush on her. Sam had no problem finding the address that Brittany had DM’d him. He was at her place in no time and was glad that he was able to lose the paparazzi. He walked up to her house, bag of movies in on hand and snacks in the other hand, and rang the door bell ready to get this movie date started.

Sam had called this a date, and though Brittany wasn’t sure he meant it was a real one, that didn’t keep social media from buzzing. There were already tabloids pointing at the two sneaking around, and even fan groups formed that wanted them to end up together. Brittany was actually flattered; even if they didn’t have the same taste in movies or candy, Sam Evans was super hot. The idea that others thought they would be cute together wasn’t bad publicity... and having him alone in her apartment wasn’t too shabby either. Brittany dressed cute but casual so that they could be comfortable; she had cleaned her apartment and even warned Lord Tubbington not to be rude. Since Sam didn’t like candy corn, Brittany made sure only to stick to chocolate candy. Surely he at least like chocolate, she figured. As the doorbell sounded, Brittany skipped to answer it, a bright smile on her face. “Hey, Sam! So I know we started off on the wrong foot, but now’s time for a truce, right? I’m sure if anyone can make me like Avatar, it’s someone cute like you.” Brittany was a flirt and she had no shame in showing it. “Come on in,” she stepped back from the door. “I got candy and popcorn, do you want a drink or anything first?”
