I think I'm going to start posting my old fashion design portfolio for uni application. I remember when I was first making my one. It was really difficult to find examples of other people's work and to know what to put in. I got in to a fairly good uni (some sources put it's somewhere in the top 20 that's all I'm going to say) with this portfolio but not my top pick (I couldn't go this year either way because of other complications).
Now that I'm in the process of making a new portfolio I think it would be useful for myself and others if I post my old one and explained what worked and what didn't.
It's really surprising to look at what I decided to put, since I did have better and more appropriate work to include but didn't because I just didn't know better.
Also keep in mind that while the portfolio tends to be the main thing fashion design unis look at it's not the only. Most unis will also ask for CV, motivation letter, portfolio, high school exam scores and other additional pics of writing or work. So I can't fully say or know what counted more in the end and what got me to be rejected or be accepted.
