Today, we stumbled upon one of the most empowering songs we've heard in a while. Colbie Caillat had the courage to bare her soul in front of millions (in fact, 19 million as of today). Her song tells the inspiring stories of many women out there who battle their body image issues. Colbie encourages everyone out there to stop concealing themselves, and start letting the world realise their true beauty (from within). This song truly resonated with us because it is exactly what Porcelain aims to educate all clients about. To not conceal. In fact, this song is in line with our foundation-free campaign, #fffriday! Last year I had serious sunburn on my lips while in Bali.. Like.. I-looked-like-i-had-herpes type really bad, and painful, sunburnt lips. Seriously unsexy. And there was this guy i was trying to impress and all. *blush* So, looking like i had herpes was not cool at all! I used an off-the-shelf 99.9% aloe gel I usually swear by, thinking if it helped sunburn, it would help my lips - but it actually made it worse for 8 long, painful days. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I asked the pharmacist too if I should use cold sore cream, but he was like. . "Err, no. That is definitely NOT a cold sore. We know. We see a lot." ..... ( mild relief la I guess..) The day i had a brainwave and thought, why not use "SOOTHE" on my lips, was the day it started healing. Fast.
