The character of Pokey Minch

Pokey Minch, an immature, childish, selfish and egocentric kid who loses his bit of repressed goodness, during the journey of his “friend”.

The wish of being important is more important than being in the right side. After he realised he wasn’t one of the “chosen ones”, he started sowing a feeling of disgust for Ness and his friends, until the end, the real end, when he’s sent in the vacuum.

He appears in a remote future, in a place full of blameless and kind people, who didn’t know what they would have gone through.

Pokey wanted friends. Pokey wants friends, although this means kidnap people, erase their memories, make them puppeteers, destroy families or “corrupt” them by creating a big new city and threat them like they are emotionless.

He never understood what friendship means. He never understood what he did wrong. And at the same time, no one understood Pokey, and now it’s too late, because he’s closed in the absolutely safe capsule, until the end of the Universe.

Did he reserve this? Although he made a lot of people desperate, he couldn’t understand what’s a real friendship. This is the biggest pain a human could feel.
