Alex quickly changed his tone of voice and placed a warm smile on his face as he walked around the corner to properly greet her. Amy looked like a normal teenager. Maybe she did know about this stuff more than what she lead on. He doubted it somehow because she looked innocent.

“So…my name is Alex. I am the shop manager here at Adult World. How much do you know about our product or doing retail?”

He asked as he walked over to a display filled with nothing but dildos and butt plugs. It was about the most innocent stuff in the store.

“Thank you!” She responded excitedly. Probably a little too excitedly. Alex was pretty accurate in his assumption of Amy. Although she wasn’t a teenager she was pretty much the definition of innocence. Total virgin. “You sell clothes right…” How wrong. She still had that vision stuck in her head. Adult world was a fancy clothing store for working adults. And that was when her eyes followed Alex to the display to preview the merchandise. 

Hazel eyes widened and looked like they might pop out of her head. She shifted nervously and the urge to flee was real. Was this a joke? How was this happening to her? “I..uh…I know nothing…about..those…” Absolutely nothing.

There had to be some hidden humor in what the girl had just admitted. A smile spread across Alex's lips as he looked around the both of them. If she had no idea where she was then why would she be trying to get a job there?

Then again, Alex had never seen Any browsing the aisles like the normals did. He glanced back into the store room to see if the owners were around but they must have been out. Probably gathering new product.

"Tell me, then. Do you have any retail experience?" He asked, trying to keep the interview serious. He was a kind person and planned to hire her on anyways so long as the owners were okay with her. After all it was not exactly in the rules that you had to know the product to work in Adult World.

Amy was more than a little naive. She had no clue what the store she was going into was. All she knew was they were hiring and she needed a job. She was not on her parents good side and she wanted to continue freeloading there. At least until she made it big as a published poet. She had to be an adult. What irony that the hiring location was named ‘Adult World’ - the clueless brunette just assumed that it was some high end clothing store for adults. Boy was she in for a shock.

“What? No.” Why would he ask such a thing? Why would she be shopping for a bachelorette party? She held the sign up proudly and tried to put on her best smile. “I’m looking for a job and it looks like you’re hiring.” Salinger worked in a meat factory - she chanted this over and over in her head. She could do this. Amy had yet to look around the store - it could have been selling explosives for all she knew. That’s about how much attention she was paying to her surroundings. When she did she’d understand the question. And probably run out screaming.
