PLOT - THE CAST - ASKS - CHARACTER TEASERS - HIS WILL
Sister to Lady Blanche, Constance is what one would call a very modern woman, to say the least, and is bound to deliver a dynamic thrill. Still possessing a mild affinity to her favorite childhood treat, Constance can always be found sucking on a butter salted caramel as she twirls her Turkish cigar, clad in perfectly tailored cashmere trousers. Irreverent, stylish, and unquestionably contemporary, Changing Constance isn't your average aristocratic woman, which is assuredly exactly the way she likes it. She has no regard for custom, and does exactly as she likes. She has always been one to break every rule.
One of the more skeptical of the group, Constance isn't buying into any of it. Still, she can't quite shake the intrigue. Every phone call sets her tongue wagging with taunts as she tries to break the supposedly Lord George. He has always been a man with a great talent for wit, though. How long before her belief is shaken?
Would love to see Constance or Sohan next!!
Your request has been heard. Constance is set to be posted tonight. Sohan will post next week. If there are any other teasers that anyone is anticipating, feel free to send an ask and let us know who you are excited to see.
WOW WOW WOW this is gorgeous !!! im planning on quitting my current position irl and making this rp my full-time job
I'm so glad it's resonating with you! This project has been incredibly close to me for a long time, so it's nice to get such positive feedback.
In exchange for your overwhelming enthusiasm, let me know what skeletons you're anticipating the teaser for and I'll bump it up the list.
We are roughly three weeks from the main drop, we do hope to see you soon.
The death of Lord George was unexpected. A heart attack he was considered too young to have, considering his good health. The funeral was procession lacking in any tenderness. Anger, nervousness, greed. The air was thick with the fog of it. Grief seemed to be absent among them. Everyone there wants something. Land deeds, money, social standing, freedom, secrets, and revenge. The room hadn’t even fully cleared yet when the first call came in. When they answer, it’s unmistakably the voice of the man they just buried. It carried his tone, his mannerisms, his knowledge. At first, the calls seem helpful, a gift even. The voice of Lord George gave word towards the things they want most: hidden deeds, letters, secret accounts, long-forgotten scandals. Obsession started to circle the calls. Whatever theories they have, however they feel about the calls, they can’t keep from answering them. They start waiting for them.Â
Inspired by the enticing character of Penhaligon’s fragrance line, Portraits. This Lovecraftian horror group gives these characters of English aristocracy a world of their own, one of obsession, identity, and questionable sanity. Each family member is a skeleton that embodies a specific signature fragrance, described by Penhaligons themselves. Taking place in the late 1950’s England, Portraits the RPG is meant to draw them deeper, giving Lord George his own game for all to play. Memories, photographs, letters all change; and slowly, the dead patriarch reemerges to the center of their lives, but do they even remember who he was? It all starts with a phone call, one from the voice of George himself. Despite all of the warnings left behind, will you answer?
How the game works: While you have autonomy over your characters, the phone calls will place events, memories, and items on them individually or collectively. Whether these things have actually happened or not is as much up to you to decide as your characters. The best way to come to any conclusion will be to interact with other characters, compare experiences, and attempt to create an accurate timeline.Â
The Bewitching Yasmine is by all appearances soft and quiet. Yet at the same time, she conducts herself with a rare force. Some, the less determined, would find her distant, maybe cold, but appearances are notoriously misleading. Like many intriguing women, Yasmine is hot and cold. An ambition that doesn't look back and the allure to match she is sure to catch your attention. The Bewitching Yasmine is a rare beauty with a a one-way ticket, and if you're lucky, you'll be the one to fall under her charm. Her sights are set on London and a suitable match and with the help of Lady Blanche, who could resist?

Teddy lives for the thrill of the chase, ensnaring unsuspecting hearts with his easy masculinity. A smooth operator, his sights are set on Helen...that is until he meets the Duke. Speaking the language of silent strength and undeterred focus, a man that sets apart from the crowd, a man that whispers rather than shouts. Terrible Teddy is your partner on those quiet, introspective evenings when you seek solace of your own company. The promise of romantic encounters will reveal the enigmatic layers of his personality. The oh, so helpful neighbor of Lord George. The two were close, always mingling at parties. Teddy circles the ring so often he's practically family.
actually cannot emphasize enough how interested I am in this!!!
There's so much in store for this scandalous cast. We will continue to drop character teasers every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Hope to see you on the other side.
Conforming to the expectations of his class, Duke Nelson married the most coveted girl in London: the Duchess Rose. Yet the Duke is eccentric and unusual, his whimsical airs set society tongues wagging. Rumors abound that his marriage is yet to be consummated!
His aura is as ambivalent as he is: Masculine, flamboyant, yet soft. While we may suspect the Duke's secret, his poise tells us not to fret on his behalf- his double-life may be double the fun. The handsome young Duke sets hearts aflutter- but not the ones you might think. His wife, the most coveted girl in London, seems not to interest him at all. Fancy that.
Dear family,
IÂ am sure you are all wondering what has been left to each of you, as I know priorities lie there.Â
Before I begin, I ask one thing of you. Do not trust each other with my memory. I do not ask this because any of you are particularly dishonest, which, let’s be frank, some of you are, but because memories are a fragile, impressionable thing.Â
My estate is not to be divided immediately preceding my death. There are certain tasks that I have left unfinished. Those take priority.
Within this estate, there are ten particularly important items. Each of these items serves a purpose and resides exactly where they belong. While each serves a great purpose, none are of any value.
If any of these items are to go missing, every remaining asset will be lost to each and every one of you.Â
Do not ask why I have chosen to hide each item. Do ask yourself what they are hidden from. If they appear dangerous to you, it is because they are. Proceed with caution.
The cellar is to remain off limits; this now includes the wine cellar. I am afraid you will have to find elsewhere to store your wares.Â
I know very well that some of you believe me to be paranoid, that you always have. You would be correct, but it is not without good reason.
Some of you will remember things, remember me differently. Do not find this of any alarm. But do not attempt to argue as to whose version is correct.Â
Do not find solace in each other’s certainty. The more you agree, the more dangerous things become.Â
My final request is this: when the phone rings, answer with caution. Not all calls come from friends.Â
The Penhaligon inheritance is not an estate but a responsibility.Â
May god help you all,Â

When will you be open for applications?
Right now, we are gauging interest. We have everything fully planned for an early August drop. The submit box will be open shortly after the launch. Hope to see you soon.
Do come in, I’m sure we’ve met before… Noble patriarch, paragon of masculine elegance, Lord George welcomes with the warm comfort of convention, but what secrets hide behind tradition?
Lord George was respected by all. A man of great composure, skill of business, and hider of secrets. Well renowned in the world of charity and patriarchy, he was a pillar of example of the carefully crafted noble ideal. He cared for his family, his wife, his daughter, and hidden bastard son all alike. His long kept mistress, well, she received a special variety of treatment that surpassed all of the others. All the same, he doted on them. Always showed compassion but love would never be enough for honesty. He hid many things from them. Everyone knew he was secretive, paranoid, but the reasoning behind it was never revealed in life. The man of outstanding character left less than was expected for his loved ones. He earned himself some bitterness. He expected that. Instead of gold and deeds he left behind vague instructions and warnings of great danger. But has he really gone? His presence seems to linger in a way that leaves many uncomfortable. Not everyone will be convinced he is really dead.
