I want to be pretty so I can get ahead. I want to use my looks as a tool to set me apart from others. Me being a very feminine young woman in this world especially being black is a tool possibly even a skill I can use to get farther ahead. Being beautiful is one of my top priorities right now other than my own education since it has given me massive success. I don't want people to doubt men's attraction to me or make snide remarks on my body or face.

Thank goodness my first year of uni is OVER!! I learned a lot and I did a ton and I'm so excited to go to nyc for my conference in January! I knew going to a small pwi would cause problems but boy the amount of jealousy was insane. My biggest lesson learned was truly to be more careful with choosing my friends, even if it was my roommate's choosing and I just went along with it. At the end of the semester I had guys chasing after me approaching me and they still had the nerve to call me ugly which is wild. I've separated myself soon so I'm finding a new plan and a way to better ascend my looks over the summer so I come back hotter than ever.

Are women allowed to have any standards when it comes to dating men?

If a woman wants a man who is conventionally attractive, tall or athletic, she is shallow.

If a woman wants a man who earns good money or at least has some financial stability/gainful employment, a career or good career prospects, she is a gold-digger.

If a woman wants a man who is educated, cultivated or takes an active interest in the world around him one way or another, she is a snob.

If a woman wants a man who is not a complete porn-addict with a severe case of terminal misogyny, she is a stuck-up bitch.

If a woman wants a man who is kind, considerate and actually cares about her, she pussy-whips her boyfriend or husband.

If a women wants a man who shares values, interests or life-style choices that are important to her, she is mean and exclusionary, because why wouldn't she give men a chance she is clearly not compatible with?

Seriously, what are women allowed to look for in a male partner? Oh, wait, I know! She is supposed to want a man who is funny and makes her laugh. That is a demand no man feels threatened by, because they all think they are comedy gold.

I love this post. This is why I started taking all of the names I get called as a women for having standards as a compliment! Call me shallow and a gold-digger all day. All I hear is that I’m not settling for less than I deserve🤷‍♀️
