Once Upon A Time... 1 "OVERTURE" People built the Network from the connections between them. Each - like their own neurons - would absorb communications that came toward them. They'd absorb phone calls, emails, text messages, articles, tweets, opinions, insults, cries for help... When enough came to provoke a response, there was no choice but to send communications of their own - they would, in essence, fire. At first there were only so many of them - but soon, as more and more people joined the network, there were more connections between them than there were in their own brains. The Network was stupid; and then it was clever; and then it was so very clever that it understood what it was and was able to monitor the contents of itself. ‘Message in a Bottle (live) 1981’ by Sting Probably the best performance of this
‘Willow Weep for Me’ by Mary Lou Williams Everyone chill out yeah
‘La Del Rebozo Blanco’ by Estela Nuñez A lovely bit of summertime
‘Blaze Of Glory Live in london’ by Bon Jovi One day, ONE DAY, I will cover this
‘Have You Been Tried In The Fire’ by Florida Mass Choir The effervescence of many voices singing at once.
‘Smalltown Boy Reprise (2014)’ by Jimmy Somerville Always loved this song a lot
‘Who By Fire’ by Leonard Cohen Probably one of my most favourite Leonard Cohen songs. Creepy folk is the best folk.
‘Forever’ by Pete Drake Excellent talkbox weirdness
‘I Found A Million Dollar Baby (In A Five And Ten Cent Store)’ by Bing Crosby Always liked this one
