Thinking about the fact that Maul seems to desperately crave companionship but he only gets it through making people serve him. He makes Savage his apprentice, he tries to do it with Devon and Ezra too, because the only close relationship he’s ever had in his life is his relationship with Sidious. An apprentice worshiping a master is the only form of love he knows, so in order to be loved he needs an apprentice.
