Revisited my old Possessed Gadget AU and decided to give him a bit of a redesign. He now has a longer, black scarf. And his gloves and boots are now black and white in relation to Infinite’s color scheme.

Thanks. I just need to make sure they don’t find me. Of course though, I also need to consider Infinite taking over every now and then, and he doesn’t share the same goals as I do.

Does Eggman know about you possessing Gadget Infinite? Or are you going to go rogue so to speak?

Well, no one’s seen Eggman since the final battle of the war, so I doubt he’s aware that Infinite is possessing me. I also doubt that Infinite has seen him whenever he’s in control of me.

In the meantime though, Infinite probably decided to lay low for a bit until he can return, presumably to attack Sonic and friends again. I need to make sure to stay as far away from them so he can’t do that.

Gadget, have you tried taking out the phantom ruby while Infinite isn't in control?

I did, but it caused so much pain that I couldn’t go through with it. Probably for the best, trying to pull the ruby out myself would probably kill me with the way it’s lodged in my chest.

To answer your question, not really. I often have to struggle to take back control of my body. Though it’s usually for only a few hours before Infinite takes back control. I can be in control of myself longer if I take back control while he’s sleeping, but Infinite still takes back control.

“Out of everything I’ve seen, this is a first.” The young kitsune, Miles, seemed interested in this phenomenon. “I mean, I wasn’t aware that the Phantom Ruby could cause possession in this way. What’re the requirements for it, and how does it work?”

Didn’t expect to get a question from a member of the resistance, especially since I murdered some of your own. 

Fine, I guess I’ll tell you, though be warned this is only what I can figure out since this was my only attempt at doing something like this.

From what I understand, there needs to be another ruby bonded to someone, like the one the wolf had for instance. Then, that ruby needs to be implanted into that person similar to my original body. With those factors, I just need to transfer myself into that persons ruby and take control of their body.

However, this ends up killing the body of whoever is transferring themselves. The only reason I did it is because I was close to death and I saw this as my only chance of survival. I also assumed that it would erase the mind of the person I possess, but the wolf takes back control every now and then, so I guess that’s not true.

So is Gadget aware of your presence Infinite?

Of course he is. It’s not that hard to figure that out without noticing the ruby in our chest and the fact that I often take control of him. I would be surprised if he wasn’t aware of me.
