I haven't had my coffee yet, but at the risk of vague posting we probably need to talk about how the kinds of people who follow a "tournament” blog that regularly pits characters and ships against each other with, frankly, non-zero amounts of racialized and misogynistic “propaganda”, are going to produce a certain kind of representation in a demographics poll.

Not that I think this negates the overall point that the fandom has racism, transphobia, and misogyny problems. Those are issues represented in gaming spaces in general.

But idk it's just that if your sample is already fucked it's going to keep being fucky when self reporting.

The heat fucked me over again, so I decided to give Pathfinder WOTR another shot. And chat -

So, when I say that Heinrix is what got me through Rogue Trader, knowing absolutely nothing about Warhammer prev to playing (and good lord is there a lot of reading) I'm kind of joking. I 100% stand by the statement that the voice acting in RT is exceptional all around, and I was locked in from the start. That little cut scene introducing Abelard by way of him butchering his way through with his chain sword had me laughing as maniacally as I did when I first met Varric. I *loved* Argenta's entrance. If that game had been fully animated with more ME style combat (which I think Owlcat is doing in Osiris?), I do believe RT would be vying heavily with Veilguard for which game I replay the most.

Pathfinder is just not doing the same for me. Which is killing me since fantasy is usually my jam.

Am I missing something? Usually I don't ask other peoples' opinion but it feels like I should like this game. Sometimes I'm willing to try things if mutuals have a good word.

It is WILD to me to see comments on social media to the effect of:

-using a reference to make your art is somehow invalid

-tracing/copying *as a learning mechanism* is verboten

Who fucking raised y'all.

Are you expecting to learn techniques, and then make art, out of thin air?

Maybe this is a byproduct of people posting literally every goddamn thing in their lives, idk.

Today I went and ate at a "NY" deli and got a very good sandwich and then got an actual ice cream cone - not a bowl with cone material - with two scoops of gelato (strawberry and dark chocolate) and ate it walking in the sunshine. And then my friend and I went to a pop up bar and had AMAZING non-alcoholic wine (I bought a bottle and found out where I could buy more), and the vibes at this place were *immaculate*, the organizer had a "portrait doodler", and a candy bar paired with the wines, and IT WAS THE BEST TIME. And someone told me my outfit was giving Stevie Nicks vibes, which is all I've ever wanted to hear (unless it's "Stockard Channing via Practical Magic") so my night has been made.

I'm super easy to please I guess. But also, the best things in life are the little ones you can enjoy with your whole self.

Me when I don't eat all day and then between my medical issues and the meds I take I end up feeling like hot garbage and then when I do finally eat late in the day I start feeling so much better because turns out your body does actually need food (and water) has anyone heard of this? Veilguard did not retcon shit. That is a lie. Veilguard left specific things open ended enough for you to mentally fill in whatever your worldstate was, which I know is an exhausting endeavor for some of you, but if you keep practicing your brain will eventually develop the necessary wrinkles. It didn't misrepresent shit. You didn't pay attention.

Stop lying about the game just because you didn't get what you personally wanted.
