‘Direct to the People’ First Nations Fundraiser.
Want to show your support and solidarity for First Nations people around a tough time of year when many “celebrate” Jan 26th?! Why celebrate genocide and ongoing oppression, when you can support First Nations people currently experiencing homelessness in Far Nth QLD during both a global pandemic, and the incoming wet season?
Any money raised will go DIRECT to the people we are supporting! Our fundraiser is exactly what it says on the tin- A small group of First Nations people supporting other First Nations people experiencing homelessness and hardship. We will try as best we can to keep people updated as to what we’re achieving throughout the fundraiser being active.
We will be doing the following with any funds raised:
-Helping people with immediate need: sleepin bags, food, clothes, toiletries/feminine hygiene products, cash, first aid needs etc.
-Sourcing, paying for, and supporting people to get accommodation - both short term and hopefully longer term.
-Helping settle our old people and assisting with access to any medical services required.
-Setting up camps or squats for people who can’t access crisis accommodation, away from ‘prying eyes’ of scum rednecks who think Indigenous people shouldn’t be allowed to camp out.
-Purchasing phones and credit for people to keep in contact with families
-Arranging and funding ID attainment as most services won’t allow access without 100pts.
-Providing transport to reunite families displaced and to link in with any services required that we can get access to.
We use both our own income and funds raised to ensure we provide the best possible outcomes for each individual we’ve supported!
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser back in Jan 2020! We had such success with direct support for homeless and displaced mob that we are well practiced in meeting immediate and urgent needs of our people! ‘Mob lookin after mob,’ without the wasteful overheads and proper big admin costs of the big NGOs. Since the last fundraiser we haven’t stopped, as much as we possibly can with our own limited resources, we’ve managed to still support a significant amount of people in small ways; even with DJ taking out Super to be able to continue this! We also don’t turn people away when they’re in need because they use drugs or alcohol to get through the rough days they have living on the street! This is a HUGE barrier to people receiving services and crisis accommodation and only grassroots support can address this need! We also now have a wider network of people through the ‘mutual aid’ provided last year, who are now willing to also help if they can.
Your support for Far Nth QLD Indigenous People currently experiencing homelessness at the onset of the wet season and during the ever-looming pandemic is urgently needed! If you’re mob yourself then please do the ‘Blak thing’ and help your Brothers, Sisters, Aunties, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews; and if you’re a non-Indigenous ally, this is a great way to show your solidarity with the traditional owners of these never-ceded lands.

All donations go DIRECTLY to helping these mob. We DO NOT take Admin fees etc like the big NGO’s and we can provide a 24/7 immediate response to need, as long as we have the resources to do so! Services have long failed our people, and we are GREAT at mutual aid!!! We will continue to look after our own to the best of our abilities! And it’d be great to bring you along on the journey! “Uprisings/revolts/fighting back will never be comprised of or led by any self identified political ideology or framework. They’re done by pissed off people who’ve seen how capitalism, white supremacy and every other exploitative system fuck us daily and how they’ve rooted themselves into every aspect of our lives to where they seem inescapable.
We don’t have to read long boring ass books from 100 years ago to see the effects of capitalism and how it has propped itself up and adapted within our lives. Fighting back won’t happen because you read every book from Marx, fighting back won’t happen because you met up with other local anarchists to create a network of people who identify within the same ideology as you.
Fighting back happens because people affected by capitalism get fed up and do something about it.
Leninists aren’t gonna lead the people into a new stage of social relations, anarchists aren’t gonna persuade people to free themselves from hierarchies. We are simply going to get sick of dying and suffering under capitalism and white supremacy and fight back until we aren’t forced to live under the weight of these systems.
What we can do now is support the people in our lives as best we can and form bonds within our communities to share resources and support. living outside of capitalism is possible.”

“This morning group of autonomous dissidents went to the heart of Meanjin’s (Brisbane) capital and political district, close to the plush offices of politicians who make decisions about who gets to live freely and safely, and who remains indefinitely imprisoned and tortured in Australia’s detention regime.
The fountain runs red today, representing the blood of the dozen or more refugees [1] who died at the hands of Australia’s detention industry, and the thousands of others who have been mentally and physically tortured by it. We wrote messages to express our rage and our solidarity for the morning coffee goers, joggers and politicians who work in the corridors of power above, to read on their way to work.
Though our gesture this morning is small, it is a symbol of our commitment to fight to the end for the freedom of refugees and abolition of Fortress Australia. We demand nothing but freedom and full citizenship rights for all asylum seekers and refugees incarcerated by Australia.
This is not a game. Refugees have lost eight years of their lives imprisoned by this regime and childhoods have been stolen.

Facebook has banned crimethinc.com, itsgoingdown.org, and other anarchist publishers solely on the basis of the roles that they play in covering protest movements.
If there is no response, this will set a precedent for more bans, and embolden the state and fascists to engage in other forms of repression.
This has nothing to do with stopping violence and everything to do with cracking down on social movements and people organizing in their communities.

Zuckerberg is cracking down on anarchist & anti-fascist accounts, groups, pages & hashtags on FB & IG. Either severly limiting their reach or removing them entirely. CrimethInc & It's Going Down have been removed. Some friends accounts also removed & their pages are now inaccessible.

FB reckons they're going after fascist accounts linked to QAnon & white supremacist militias too, but not sure there's much evidence of them actually doing it.
