Standing at Picadilly Circus for around 15 minutes taking pictures and videos of the full moon is very on brand.

Everyone is purple

And I’m a shade of blue

I pray that no one notices

The missing pink hue

I hide inside my home

One of painted walls

The colours of which I hope

Hide my bluish flaws

With some courage I step outside

I decide it’s ok to be seen

I notice, I am turning purple!

But everyone else ... is green?

I wallow in confusion

I sigh in my defeat

My efforts were wasted

Purple was no small feat!

I ask a passing stranger

How to be more green

She simply shrugged her shoulders

“Whatever do you mean?”

then something catches my eye

Was that a turquoise I saw?

Oh yes and a pink and yellow

How had I not noticed before?

I tried so hard to be like them

So much so I failed to see

That everyone was not the same

They were different, just like me

my favorite part about the Moon is she’s there for me even when I’m not there for me
