My (belatedly posted) New Years Resolution
In this life it's so hard to sometimes to dwell in the present and to look forward to the future. But I have started to realize that in order to "Escape for [my] life" I must move forward and "look not behind [me]." (Genesis 19:17) There is a reason why Christ has said to "forget thyself" Because when we focus on helping others we not only see the positive in them, but we also find the positive in us. Inevitability as we do so, the trash that we would otherwise be focusing on in ourselves, slowly starts to go away, until one day you will find it gone. So this year, I hope to be better at not looking back at my trash, but to start to look at the wonderful fields of daisies in front of me. *https://youtu.be/lrZij9MSTRI *
Hello (from November 16 - catching up)
The email postings got a little mixed up due to family events, but hereâs the one from two weeks ago.
Hey peoples! Â Â
I hope things are going well for you this week. I am starting to understand the power of just a few words of encouragement can make to change someones perspective. To help support and lift them, and to help them come closer to Christ. Â
This week was our districtâs first opportunity to teach real Cambodians (through Skype), they are already members, just being themselves. Our job is to invite them closer to Christ. The good news was that I could understand what bawng Madelen said, the bad news though was that I could tell that she was talking slow. Ah well. Â
There was something funny that happened the other day that I wanted to tell you about, but I forgot what it was... It's been snowing like crazy here today. But that's okay because it meant that we had a snowball fight on our way back from the Temple. A word of caution though: If your companion is a baseball player -- Pitcher actually-- make sure that he's on your team. Â
Thank you for all of your support. Keep reading the scriptures, keep praying, keep going to Church. And if life is getting to hard to deal with, go find someone to serve and help. I can promise you one of two things will happen if you do. a) The problem will go away, or  b) a solution will become apparent. Also don't confuse your problem with your reality, because you can't change the current reality that is making the problem.
Sincerely, --Elder Bullough
God Moves in a Mysterious Way 1. God moves in a mysterious way *His* wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea And *rides upon the storm.* 2. Ye fearful Saints,* fresh courage take*; *The clouds ye so much dread* Are* big with mercy* and shall break *In blessings* on your head. 3. His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding evâry hour; *The bud may have a bitter taste,But sweet will be the flower.* 4. Blind unbelief is sure to err And scan his works in vain; God is his own interpreter, And he will make it plain. *Text: * William Cowper *Music: * William Bradbury *Arranged By: * Ralph Woodward *Artist: * Cowper/Bradbury/Woodward *Album: * Music Published in the Church Magazines: Ensign *Composition Date: * 2012-01-06 *Music from the Ensign <>*

What itâs like to reason with an artist who loves science.
Conversations are hard to remember when youâre busy filling your head with scientific facts. I got a good a laugh out of this one. dragynoverlord thanks for being awesome!
In preparation...
Iâm very excited to say that on Sep. 30 I will be going to the missionary training center in Provo Utah so that I might become better at sharing the gospel, and so I that I might begin to learn the Language of Cambodia, know as Khmer. In the hopes that I will better understand what the some of the people of this country have been through and are going through I am reading âThe Rent Collecterâ and âSurviving the Killing Fieldsâ
Check out my new blog that I made specially for my LDS missionary experiences.

As an active Mormon who has battled addiction throughout my life, I found these videos to be both powerful and beautiful. The Mormon Church isn't holding back -- it is making a concerted effort to tackle addiction head-on. These videos are raw, and in some cases, quite heartbreaking.
It would be awesome if this could get some more publicity, share the article, comment on it as well, both in Huffington, and on facebook. Also, this was posted by Seth Adam Smith, https://twitter.com/SethAdamSmith share and support the wonderful work he's doing.
