I dont know if this is relevant or not, but Seidou said he only ever saw Akira from the side, while in the recent flashback, we saw Ishida *intentionally?* depicted that it was Akira who saw Seidou from the side. Akira tried reaching out to him, and Seidou just pushed Akira away... And now I'm sad again because of what could hv been..
Both Seidou and Akira are shown to see the other only “from the side”.
Seidou says it himself as he runs to find Amon.
It’s also how Akira stayed in his memories (as seen when he thought about her during the Auction).
It’s how she sees him after the exam results are out.
She first sees the side of his face during the Auction.
And it’s also how she sees him during their reunion at Rue.
I think that this “seeing from the side” thing is connected to the fact that they never got along well since they never actually looked at each other, they never actually talked about their feelings, they never understood each other.
But that has changed.
Now, Seidou and Akira are looking at each other’s faces. They’re being honest with each other and saying what’s on their mind.
