my boss is allowing me and the other paralegals to work from home one day each week per person since gas is so $$$ right now. i’m so excited to have one day without a commute and to have time to do little chores etc throughout the day. i really hope it ends up being permanent but im worried bc my boss said “let’s try it out for june” which means there’s already an end date in his mind :-/ like 75% of our attorneys work from home pretty much exclusively anymore and it doesn’t feel fair that we are all required to be here every day sitting in a mostly empty office while the attorneys send me tasks to do from the comfort of home

i wouldn’t have as much of an issue with this if our office building was comfortable and safe but sadly we work in the shittiest building owned by the shittiest landlords. elevator has been broken for over a year, one working toilet in the ladies bathroom, bad HVAC temp control, sketchy ppl wandering around etc.
