Hi all, thanks for your patience! As previously mentioned, we’re releasing the zine PDF for free and have issued refunds to all customers. Since this zine was intended to be for charity, we encourage you to make a donation to our chosen charity, United Way of Genesee County, which provides essential support for those most affected by the Flint water crisis.

Power of the Ocean is a Klance (VLD) zine themed around water in its many forms. The zine is a product of love put together by a wonderful group of writers and artists. We hope you enjoy the zine!

I just read the PDF. Wow! What a stunning zine. Every piece of art was...well...a work of art. Fun. Sunny. Romantic. & every piece of writing a masterpiece. I particularly loved the piece with the dolphins, and the one with the thunderous meeting was so moody and wonderful. I'm gutted for you that COVID ruined this for you & your artists. I will donate. It was made with so much love and care. I have a lot of zines, & yet this one stands out to me. Thank you for efforts & for generously sharing

Hi everyone, it’s time for a big update on this project. Given all of the trouble we’ve had with communication and ordering physical items during a pandemic, the mod team has decided to refund all orders and release the zine as a free PDF. The refund process has already been started, so no need to send us an email requesting one. All funds should be received in 5-10 business days -- if you still don’t see anything, please check your spam inbox and then send us an email at [email protected] with your order number.

The zine PDF will be released for free in the coming week. We encourage you to make a personal donation to our chosen charity, United Way of Genesee County (Flint Water Fund), if you are able to give. The link to donate is below:

Hello!! Here's a quick update since it's been a while since the last one!

We are really sorry for taking so long with shipping the items. The pandemic has been hard on zine production teams and companies, but rest assured, we're doing our best!

We have the digital zine prepared and ordered the physical zines and merch already, but unfortunately, because of the covid, our physical zine orders haven't been received by our shipping mod yet. We're still waiting for updates about our orders from the production company, but as soon as we get the products in our hands, previews and updates will be posted!

On other hand, we know covid hit everyone hard and not everyone has time, money or interest in waiting, which is understandable! And so, our email [email protected] is open for refund requests- you must include your name and order number in the email, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Again, we are sorry for the wait. We're doing our best, thank you for staying with us so far!

Bumping this now for those who may not have seen it!

We’ve had a lot of asks about this, so we hope this answer is helpful! Feel free to send us another ask if you still have questions or concerns.

Basically, we’re having difficulty reaching our finance mod and have tried to contact her on several platforms with little success. As far as we know, some items, particularly the physical zine and charms, were ordered out-of-pocket (not with zine funds) but were stuck in customs and/or lost in the mail. We are waiting to receive receipts and/or pictures of the items so that we can confirm these details.

We’re also working on backup plans, since our contributors have worked hard to create beautiful pieces and the digital product is complete. Again, if you’d like a refund, no worries -- just send your name and order number to our email ([email protected]) and we’ll try to get back to you ASAP.

We appreciate your patience and hope to resolve this soon.

Hey everyone, we apologize for the radio silence -- the pandemic caught us all unawares and it took longer than expected for the mod team to get back on their feet & in communication again. Here are some production updates!

🌊 Some merch items have already been purchased and are on their way! When we receive them, we'll make sure to post pictures so you can see how amazing they look. 🌊 We're continuing to order the rest of the merch pieces & the zine! Shipping may be slow due to the global pandemic, so it's hard to make an estimate for when all merch pieces are in the same place and we can start packaging bundles. 🌊 Stay tuned for more updates! We are working to be more transparent and apologize for the delays so far. We can't wait to send you the final product!

I apologize for the silence these past few months. Due to the COVID-19 virus, production of this zine has been postponed. Many of our intended manufacturers are located in China and Europe, so ordering merch has been difficult, if not impossible. We are still fully intending to send out a finished product, though our timeline has been disrupted. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses.
