By Dave Zangaro EVESHAM, N.J. – A familiar face joined the Eagles for their voluntary workouts in the suburbs on Wednesday. Among the half-dozen or so Eagles practicing on the artificial turf field at the Memorial Sports Complex in Marlton, N.J. was Donovan McNabb. No. 5 is in town for a few days for the dedication of The McNabb Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Voorhees Replacement Hospital, to which McNabb has given a six-figure donation. So while in town, McNabb decided to work out with some of his former teammates with the trainers from Power Train in Cherry Hill, N.J. He spent the early morning at the Power Train facility and went to the Memorial Sports Complex in the late-morning hours with Jamaal Jackson, Austin Howard, Trevor Laws, Juqua Parker. They did agility drills with cones and weight training with medicine balls on the artificial turf field for about 45 minutes. “I’m just focused on working out, it’s what I do in the off-season,” McNabb said. “So, working with a great group of guys. [The Power Train] guys did a wonderful job of preparing those guys. So, I was just looking forward to it.”

EAGLES' LAWS MAY NOT LIKE RUNNING, BUT HES PUTTING IN THE WORK

Trevor Laws pulled off his black hoodie to reveal a bright red - bordering on pink - T-shirt with two words on the front: "Running Sucks."
It was an unusual fashion statement for the Eagles' dreadlocked defensive tackle, especially considering he was about to push through a workout involving repeatedly tossing a medicine ball and running after it, followed later by sprint intervals.
Running, Laws would say after the training session with a few teammates, does indeed suck, but it pays the bills. And the bills are still coming during the NFL lockout.
Better conditioning and increased strength helped the tackle to his most productive season in 2010. He's aiming for even better things in 2011 - after the lockout ends and another offseason of running, lifting, and conditioning at Power Train in Cherry Hill is under his belt.
"That's one thing I did last year that I think really contributed to my success, just because my strength was just off the charts for myself," Laws said after the recent workout in Marlton. "Right now I'm really the strongest I've ever been, so hopefully, I can have a repeat of a strong beginning of the year" and carry it into the season.

ABC NEWS/ESPN
By ROB MAADDI, AP Pro Football Writer
Thursday, May 12, 2011
Cherry Hill, N.J. (AP) -- A pair of three-pound, fluorescent green dumbbells ordinarily wouldn't be intimidating for a professional athlete or any guy in the gym, even a sports writer.
It's a different story at Power Train Sports Institute.
Trainer Steve Saunders, founder and CEO of Power Train, and his staff make simple exercises a grueling task for their clients, which include a lengthy list of NFL players.

MEN AT WORK: FORMER PENN STATE STARS PAUL POSLUSZNY & SEAN LEE AT POWER TRAIN IN PITTSBURGH
[THE PATRIOT NEWS]
April 22, 2011, 2:41 PM
By Bob Flounders
PITTSBURGH -- The 2011 National Football League off-season is a mess. There is no collective bargaining agreement in place. Owners locked out the players right after the last one expired in early March; it’s now 41 days and counting.
There is so much uncertainty. Players are on their own; coaches and general managers can only hope they are following a conditioning plan. Time marches on — the fall schedule has been released and the draft will go off next week as planned — with little indication exactly when, and if, the owners and players will mend fences.
Two former Penn State standouts try not to think much about their unsettled futures.
But it’s not easy for Paul Posluszny and Sean Lee, two of the best linebackers Joe Paterno has ever developed....
