Poyraz Aldemir is a native of Izmir, Turkey.  After studying music and performing with various artists in Turkey, he moved to New York City in 2008. Poyraz began studying with the legendary Mark Guiliana and majored in Music Recording Technologies at CUNY.

Besides his own project, Glitch Cake, he performs and records regularly with many artists in New York and on tour.

Since 2018, Poyraz has taught drum lessons at the prestigious Bang! The Drum School.
