PPD Talk. We Are Not Alone

Absolute judgment free zone. I am 27 years old, unemployed (not by choice), 6 months pregnant with a baby girl and have. 5 year old son that started kindergarten this year thats 100% virtual due to COVID. I am absolutely struggling with depression during this pregnancy but there aren’t a lot of resources out there for people like me so I want to be there for other people dealing with what I’m dealing with. Share some stories, some much needed laughs, maybe even some tears. We are not alone.

Haven’t posted on here in a while...I’m actually a little concerned about posting honestly. Once it’s in social media it stays forever. I don’t want people thinking my blog is “who I am” cuz it’s absolutely not. There’s so much more to me than just what I put on the Internet...

However, the internet has allowed me to cope and get help from people dealing with what I’m dealing with.

Update on my life: I delivered my baby girl, still, at 38 weeks. She was perfect, and my heart is broken. Who knew.

Recently went to my doctor and got prescribed an antidepressant but I’m seriously debating on taking them. The potential side effects it could have on the baby makes me nervous.

Any moms get prescribed antidepressants while pregnant? What did you do?

I’d like to say hello and welcome to everyone and anyone who stumbles upon this blog. I made this in desperation to reach women like me struggling with Postpartum Depression. I am currently 6 months pregnant with my 2nd and while I did not suffer from PPD with my first child this one I am struggling with very badly. I’m starting to feel like a failure and that life isn’t worth going on. The effects of COVID have hit our family extremely hard and that has definitely tied into the feelings I’m having. I am normally a very upbeat and cheery person who is motivating my friends and family to always move forward and push on so feeling this way has been really hard on me.

I want to get to the point before writing a novel..I made this blog for women to have a space to talk about what’s going on and not feel alone. I am on tumblr every day and would love to talk to you. I’m a great listener and wouldn’t mind making a friend and supporting you through your struggles as well. I feel like having someone to relate to during these times might help us both cope with not feeling so alone.
